Okay, I've been going over and over this and I'm not sure if I'm learning the right lessons from it.

Okay, I've edited this a bit, hope I've left the key details intact.

Everest Poker — Hand Details
Play Mode: Real
Tournament Table: Shasta-86
Game Type: Hold'em
Blinds: 7.50/15.00
Stakes: 15.00/30.00

UTG is at seat 4 with 134.00.
Anosmic is at seat 6 with 96.50.
+ 4 others
Anosmic: Kd Ah

Pre-flop:
UTG raises 30.00.
Anosmic calls 30.00.
(4 others fold)

Flop (10h Ad 4c):
UTG checks.
Anosmic raises 15.00.
UTG calls 15.00.

Turn (10h Ad 4c 7h):
UTG checks.
Anosmic raises 30.00.
UTG calls 30.00.

River (10h Ad 4c 7h Kc):
UTG checks.
Anosmic raises 21.50.
UTG raises 51.50.

Showdown:
UTG shows Jh Qs.
UTG has 10h Jh Qs Kc Ad: Straight
Anosmic shows Kd Ah.
Anosmic has 10h Kd Kc Ah Ad: Two Pair
Anosmic is eliminated.

Things I've been thinking.
1) "Why you suck at limit hold 'em" says "You don't raise AKo"... I wonder if I should have re-raised?
2) I never for a second saw that he could be on a gutshot. I should have seen that it was possible.

Should the fact that he kept checking but calling have told me he was waiting for a card, that he wasn't happy with his hand as it was?

Or should it signal he thinks he's got me beat and is trying to draw me in?

Or (as I took it) that he was uncertain about his hand but couldn't bring himself to give it up (e.g. aces or even tens).

3 bet that preflop. Don't be results orientated, you played it fine post flop.

yup yup yup. You played fine, except for the lack of re-raise.

Fine except for the fact that you had only 96.50 with bets at 15/30.

Was this a tourney??

Yes, one of the Shasta (0+0) SNGs at Everest.

The games go slowly and the blinds go up quickly which makes the whole thing pretty much a roll-of-the-dice in my view.

Still, it's free money and so far I've amassed 0.27 playing them and am on my way to having enough to play in their 0.04+0.01 NL tables.

Thanks for the input everyone. Nice to be learning something from these experiences.
