How bad of a call was this. I can usually lay down shit like this but mustve been tilting or something. O and my suckiness was rewarded with a larger than average pot also. Id there any reason i should of called this?, I do not believe so.

I don't think the river call was bad.. just all your other betting - or rather, the lack thereof - wasn't really all that great.

Raise preflop.
YOU. MUST. LEAD. FLOP.
At this level people think Ax is gold. A lot of stacks to be had AQ vs A4.

there is absolutely no reason you should call that, because you should've raised preflop and bet the flop, and this decision would never have happened.

Yes, you do suck (and as is said above, you suck because of your play in the rest of the hand, not the river call). However, you've found FTR - so get reading and in a few weeks, when you've finished it, you won't suck any more

your playing the right level to learn right now - you might suck right now, but at least you got the smarts to not be playing over your head and that is a great start -
Simply be much more aggressive - preflop, raise - flop, check raise - Lead the turn and maybe check/call the river...the 2cents looked weak and that is why he went over you....
in the "old posts" Gabe posted a hand from about 2 years ago when he was wondering why he lost with 2nd pair in a 4 way pot...and look at him now - keep reading and keep improving...

A weak bet like that is a good way to get an extra bluff from an aggressive opponent when you know you are ahead.
If you wanted to put out a blocking bet (in hopes he just calls, not re-raises), you have to decide how much you are willing to pay for a showdown. Bet that amount, if you are raised then fold.

this is called a blocking bet, and needs to be bigger. Like .30

...or have some reads/notes & ballz and just check the river and let him hang himself if he is one of the "I can win only by betting" players.

If that's your attitude (and your skill level) then enjoy losing your money, ideally to me.

Repeat after me "Raising AQo from UTG in full ring is not profitable."
But maybe he's only talking about 0.01/0.02 or 0.02/0.04.
Anything higher than 10max though I'd never raise AQo from UTG. Hell I don't even open raise AQo from middle position.

raise preflop bet all streets.
As played i think you call the river regardless and win a lot at these stakes but you have more fundamentals to learn first.

Miffed, do you recommend raising preflop with AQo only at this limit, or all limits? Maybe I'm playing too tight. As far as Ax, I only raise them suited and big preflop in NL (full ring), same for AKo unless I'm within two of the button and there are no limpers. The way I see it if I'm folding AJo in early position and only limping ATs then a limp for AQo seems like the right play.
In a normal full ring NL game I will also fold AQo from early position if I get a raise and one or two callers behind me. Third caller to a small raise gets me in preflop for pot odds. In general AQo is not a hand I want to be playing out of position in raised pots. At this level though the players are probably weak enough to call raises with very marginal hands though.
I would say only raise AQo from early position preflop if the VP$ at my table is over 30-35.

I suck too. Luckily the people I play suck even more.
On the hand: raise preflop, lead flop, lead turn, lead river.
As played I probably call the river, expecting to be beat by Ax who paired his kicker alot but beating TPWK and unimproved pocket pairs enough for me to profit from it.
That 0.02 river bet is hilarious. It would probably even work as a blocking bet against someone like me who'd think "WTF is this guy high or something?" and not raise with anything but the nuts .
