Villan is 30/4/agg, and hes 2 for 2 open raising. Seems semi-aware. I'm playing 21/7/4.5. I've only been here for 20-25 hands, but I smell a bully move. His turn bet smelled weak, so I just pushed. How often do you make this move? Is this tilt, or a good way to set the tone, with a pretty good read? Hey, sometimes I'm wrong here..

Given that I am not the most aggressive player out there, I would have suspected a set on his flop reraise. Passive me would have folded it right there. However, given his 4% PFR, it was probably a high PP and again I would respect his reraise. But it could have been AQ+. I applaud your cahunas in this hand.

Dunno if you need to bother with these moves at low stakes, unless you have a great read he's capable of folding high pps to sets.

Also dont min-raise him, pump it up 3x at least.
Experimenting - 200NL 5max.

You'll get called by a higher pocket here too often for it to be worthwhile to bluff imo. I'm suspecting he had AK here and didn't buy your flop raise, so nice read

Wow I'd rather push a flush draw with a gutshot/overs then pull this move with K9s TP.

But congrats on a solid read.

I've seen too many "fuck you for raising me, I hit the raise button back at you" raises lately.

I think Fnord nailed it. I was pounding on this guy since I sat down (actually with a legit rush). This is a raise indicates weakness or a draw 80% here.

Villain raises 4% of his hands and you see this as a "screw u, take this" raise. Sorry but I don't agree but respect your opinion.

What does his PFR have to do with his flop play here?..

My comment on the PFR was directed at his possible range of hands, and made no mention of his post flop play. If he did have a high PP (as I think is indicated by his initial PFR), then indeed he played it pretty timidly. His small flop bet may be his way of being "tricky" and his reraise seems to indicate (to me anyways) that he may be attempting to trap the hero. Same goes for his turn bet which again does not speak of strength but suggests he is "up to something." That's how I read the play.

Even Chicago Kid indicated he was unsure of his own play but felt he had a read. As I said earlier, based on how I read the hand, I would not have pushed on the turn with a pair of 9s. Obviously, others who are much more aggressive (and perhaps more successful) than myself see the hand differently.
