Ok guys any advice and opinions would help me greatly.
Here it goes. I owe partypoker 6 thousand dollars and i have no way to pay them. I lost all that money playing their side bet blackjack game. The company who credited me the money is igmpaypro. hope you've heard of them. Are the the same company as partypoker and are the in another country like partypoker or what? Im just really scared. Too me I feel ive been cheated by them, but i know its my own fault. So i feel I'm going to run. Im going to close my bank account today and just hide. What do you guys think they will do to me? I called them i told them that I feel i was cheated because their card game always wins, but they had no sympathy. They said i have 2 months to pay the 6 grand and i cant do it in that time. That was their best offer. So i'm going to run. Do you think I will be safe to open another checking account somewhere else right away or just wait awhile, I'm pretty scared here. I know they will be calling, but i hope they won't come at me that hard because the are located in another country and that internet gaming isnt really to popular with credit card companies and the united states. Any thoughts guys would help me greatly!! Please!!

your not very good at this crime thing, are you? lol - if your really going to run and hide(like that would do any good) then don't you think you should actually HIDE -

good luck - sounds like you need some gamblers anonymous...these are the people that give the senators all the ammunition in the world to ban online gambling...no control -

You need to move to the country they are located in. If your right under their nose, they will never find you.

How did you end up owing Party money? Surely partypoker don't lend money out? Or do you mean you used your credit card to fund your Party account?

I would find out where propay.com is located.

Quote:
Founded in 1997 as a payment services company, ProPay introduced its Internet payment systems in May 2000. ProPay is a privately held company headquartered in Orem, Utah. ProPay is part of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Online Reliability and Privacy Programs.
http://www.propay.com/company/

Looks like moving to Utah is the best answer.

Here is what you should do:
Contact Gamblers Anomynous for any help in this situation.
Contact a lawyer.
Contact Propay
Contact BBB Online (link found on the page to the link I gave u above)

Basically you want to find out if they could, say garnish your wages in the USA for internet gambling. This may differ from state to state so make sure you find out.

They could take you to the credit beaueau so you will want to change your phone number as well.

Just some thoughts, let it know how it goes.

Good luck!!!

My advice: Don't be a dumbass.

It's the advice my father gave me and thus far it has served me pretty well.

my guess would be that it will go to collections. you could declare bankruptcy. it would get you out of the situation but i'm sure there are better options.

Hmm.. the way i see it, you don't really owe them shit. They got their 6k back since they are the house, amirite?

If you had actually won anything they would have collected their $6k before letting you cash out.

Assuming this isnt a joke post the first thing you need to do is contact gamblers annonymous and ask them for advice. They will know more than we will.

The second thing you need to do is contact a lawyer. They will know more than we will.

Running isnt going to do much good unless you plan to go to like ... iraq or somewhere.

Theyll find you sooner or later. Man up and try to fix what ever is broken with you.

Why dont you work? Full time. bust your ass. Make the 6 g's, maybe get a loan to cover the rest. Quit gambling, learn from your mistakes, and have a sick story to tell your grandkids.... or not.

If we don't have any legal recourse against party, they probably don't have much if any against us.

Sounds to me like you will never be able to play at Party again. I don't really understand what the big deal is besides you are clearly a dgenerate gambler who needs to seek professional help. The money you "owe" is secondary.

I can't believe all of you have missed the sooo obvious answer to this. You need to go back to the same company and get ANOTHER $6K. Variance has to work in your favor doesn't it?

If you don't like that idea you may want to consider moving to Afghanistan. I hear there are some pretty good hiding places there.

Great news here!!!!

2.3 Are there any costs or fees for using the Pay-Pro Cashier System?
No, the Pay-Pro Cashier System does not charge for using the system and does not charge you for adding money to, or cashing out from, your poker account.
This is quoted from this page: http://www.partypoker.com/help/paypro_faqs.html#n1.3

It appears that there are no cost or fees associated with the 6K you lost.

It was just play money

it's obvious you've never been broke , just tell them to fuck off when they call u , or just dodge them ...i doubt you'll get serious jail time , i think the worst thing that can happen is they'll fuck up your credit but if you have bad credit who gives a fuck...unless PartyPoker is run by the Mafia then you have to be worried that they'll come after you and break your legs ....

Well man, how exactly do you owe them 6k? I don't understand how you can get staked by a poker room... esspecially party poker... Was it something along the lines of depositing without having the funds and then losing it or something? You can't just owe a casino 6k. That sucks you're going through a rough time, but maybe try to explain yourself a bit more.

Party Poker is not crooked it all... except maybe dikshit cuz he does have a doom switch, but that's beside the point. No one is calling you a loser, or a baby, but you seriously need to think about what you do with your money.

Sorry , but it is hard to take this seriously.
This is a poker forum and you post in the beginners section of poker, that you lost 6K playing sidebet blackjack.
If you are truly honest and want help (nice first post BTW), then maybe go to the Gamblers Anoymous forums. I am not trying to shew you away, but they are the people that can help you the most.
My advice is:
- Don't play BlackJack
- Turn that Sidebet icon off (located in options-- that is what i did)
- Contact GA
- Never gambler more than you can afford to lose
- Think of gambling as a form of entertainment (so you got 6K worth of entertainment)

Do I feel sorry for you. Not really since I work in a Casino and see the same people lose money everyday. To actually think that "YOU" can beat the Casino and nobody else can is a mistake right there. Casinos weren't build on winners. And online Casinos are even more dangerous because no you are assuming you can beat a software program which may be rigged since it is not regulated.

Responsible Gambling, Think About It!!!!!
(I stole that slogen)

Since when do casinos lend thousands to anonymous internet gamblers? This is bs...

It's a little hard to believe that some1 who works any type of "night shift" would actually borrow 6k over his head, with the plan to win a mathematically rigged card game (blackjack) or else cry in the fetal position in the corner of his $50 / month appartment when he loses it all. Go away troll-
