Ive put some of my thinking in parentheses. The river bet felt so wrong to call.
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) -
MP3 ($3.31)
CO ($1.95)
Button ($5.14)
SB ($0.98)
BB ($2)
UTG ($4.99)
UTG+1 ($0.97)
Hero (MP1) ($1.85)
MP2 ($5)
Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Ad Ah
Hero bets $0.08, MP3 calls $0.08, 4 folds
Flop: ($0.19) 3c 8h 7c
Hero bets $0.06, MP3 calls $0.06
(bet to see if he happened to make a set, if i get raised, he did)
Turn: ($0.31) 5d
Hero checks, MP3 checks
(more draws just showed up)
River: ($0.31) Qc
Hero bets $0.04, MP3 raises $0.24
Hero folds
(you made your flush didnt you??)
Total pot: $0.39

Some adjustments i made at this level that kinda come up in this hand are that i would always raise hands like AA, KK at least 5x or 6x the bb. YOu'll still get action- trust me! also I almost never bet less than 2/3 pot on the flop.
DUnno how others feel about that, it is kind of general but you really just gotta play your strong hands aggressively

On the turn you say more draws appear then why check and let him have a free card? Bet the pot so it makes wrong for him to call unless he takes your entire stack when he hits (implied odds).

Dude, you are not betting to see whether he hit a set or not. You bet to get value, because your range figures to be ahead of his. Therefore, your decision is which betsize is maximizing our value. Common sense says bet close to pot here. If however he happens to raise this flop, you should have at least some idea of his range and then determine your most profitable course of action against that range. A lot of players have a raising range in these spots that are wider than just sets, given your betsize I can even see a lot of people raising you with just about anything (moreso when they picked up on your habit of folding to flop raises too often)
You can figure this thing out on your own, step one would be to think of a range of hands vilian calls preflop.

Now what are you trying to say? "More draws just showed up" as of "I dont bet my hand thats likely ahead, because he“ll call anyway"? Not good, your ahead, only few (unlikely) draws actually got there, but (depending on his preflop range) many hands picked up extra equity, willing to put more money in, enabling you to bet here and bet a lot.

OK first of all, give some stats, reads on villain
PF: fine ofcourse
Flop: like XTR said: betting 'to see if he has a set' is really bad. Btw most players on 2NL wil slowplay sets here so even when they don't raise you're still have to put sets in their range. This is clearly a spot to valuebet since alot of players wil still call you with overcards, flushdraws and gsstraightdraws (like JT).
Turn: yeah that's a pretty horrible way of thinking... When you think that villain is going to call way to much with his draw then BET now that you're ahead!
River: Probably fold, but I guess it depends on you reads

Thanks for all your input!
FWIW, villian only had about 7 hands at the table, his stats for those were something like 56/7/2.5 (not sure, stats are on my home computer)

Learn to bet. Both a larger amount, and more streets. This hand should be bet/bet/bet nearly pot everytime. Your sizing is terrible, and the turn check is horrendous.
