A person who is watching someone else play either live/online. A lot of learners will "rail" a better player to see how they play. Around here we like to do it when guys are deep in big MTT's to lend some support and the screw around with 'em.

I've had a few newer players rail me and in turn I've railed them and given them advice as they've played. I think it's been quite helpful to them.

Hehehehehe.
It can be very handy for both players, but I've found that a couple of times I've abandoned thinking for myself at some stages and just relied upon the better player's knowledge to make a decision for me. That is not something I'm happy doing as I shoudl be learning from every hand, so I try to keep outside interference down to a minimum now.
