Stats before 09/01/08

Stats after 09/01/08

What these stats don't show you is that I was -2.3BB/100 in won without showdown pots in my first 25k hands and -5.3BB/100 in my last 15k hands. This is huge.

Here is the graph. As you can see the first 25k hands look much better than the last 15k.

So what do I need to do? The stats that I think are the most important are the Won $ WSF and Won $ at SD, and also the flop AF. I could quite possibly be calling too much on the flop. Is that my only problem? I am hoping to move to 25nl soon and need to get things straight before I do. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

6 max or FR? I'm guessing FR. Don't remember if PT2 indicates 6max like it does in PT3.

you dont play many pots for this level (good n tight) but you win very few pots (1/3). Your wins when sees flops should be bigger. steal pots in position more post flop? There are a lot of pots where people just want to fold because they have trash and are out of position.

Your win at showdown suggests you aint running so good to me. Unless you are over tight postlop and people can easily see when u have a hand and fold?

Robb is an unknown quantity at this point
Based on the graph, you're running fine the last 6k hands, it was the 8k hands before that killed your recent win rate. I would check those big hands from the downswing for bad big money decisions, the hands between 26k and 34k. If you're just on a cooler, you'll find a bunch of cracked sets there. If you played bad for a while for whatever reason, you'll find yourself stacking off a lot 2nd best.

The advice isn't original. Gotta give a shout out to bjaust. Looking at every hand where I won/lost +40bb's after every session has helped a bunch, and it helped plug a leak from a downswing.

15k hands. Small sample.

As Robb points out, you had a break even stretch from 23k to 34k. If you photoshopped that bit out your graph would be pretty steady. Heck even if you removed the section from 31.5 to 34 it'd look good and your bb/100 would be decent.

Overall you've got a nice upward sloping graph, I wouldnt worry too much.
Just playing to improve.

These are times we make adjustments, we don't panic and overhaul our game. Look over some hands and see if it's you or the cards.

not liking your W$WSF%

loosen up a bit in later position and figure out where you can win more small-to-medium sized pots

This is a really good point that I haven't thought about, I run 16/11.6 and 20/13 on the CO and BU respectively over the whole 40k hand sample. Are these numbers good?

I did check over my biggest losers and a couple were coolers. Some of the bad ones were overplayed overs and a couple really overplayed tptk hands. I'll have to watch out for these hands in the future. But I think a lot of it is loosing small/med pots like spenda said.

I ran 16/12 overall at FR, so I'm guessing you're a bit tight......

spenda's keys to winning small-med pots

learn to read

1. opponent's timing
2. opponents bet-sizing
3. board texture
