Villain has 78%vp$ip over 30ish hands
I figure I need to call 1.36 to win 2.09 so I need 40% equity.
imo his range is
{JJ-99,77-66,ATs,QJs,J7s,T8s+,98s,76s,ATo,QJo,T9o,76o}
and pokerstove gives me 56% against that, so that would warrant a call, correct? If you can't tell I lost the hand.

At 2NL should I pretty much always play for stacks when I hit the set? Unless I'm really deep or something?

Well played. Yes, of course stack it off here. Rarely will you find a spot where a set needs to be folded on the flop. Even if he has the straight you have a shitload of equity still. The only combos you are doing really bad against is 99/TT, and that's only 6 combos. You got the money in well. GG.

If his range has hands in it that aren't higher sets, then you should stack off here.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

littleogre has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i would stack off here but given the villains atc stats i wouldn't be shocked if he showed j7 or a bigger set.
