no, you got your money in with the worst of it, if you had pushed the turn and he called, then maybe, but as played it is not a bad beat, a bad play perhaps, but not a bad beat

you would have checked the turn, and then pushed the river, putting $60+ into a nothing pot?? why?? what hands can call you here. a K high flush might, but its unlikely. and if the K would call on the river, he definitely would have called on turn, which seems like the best place to get some money in the pot.

I think the turn check was good, the best possible play, but i'd like to hear some other feedback. I think it gives the impression that you flopped a flush with low suited cards but are nervous when a turn heart appears. The best way to get a king or queen high flush to try to take the pot.
Incidentally, I just player a hand where i flopped the nut flush, player to my left makes a strong bet that I call, then pushes the blank turn. I expected a king flush but apparently he picked the wrong time to bluff with a pair of sevens. Easiest $100 ever.
Also, in the same session, I ended up folding a straight flush to a higher straight flush, which was easy and lucky too, considering i had the seven and the board was 5 8 9 10 J h. The other fellow with the nut flush wasn't so lucky.
Strange that this just happens and I read this post. I think you played the hand as well as possible, and the river push gives the impression of trying to bluff the the nut flush. Sometimes I imagine you just have to pay off straight flushes.

looking back over the HH, I think in this situation the turn check looks like exactly what it was, a turned nut flush. I hadnt noticed how small that flop bet was, but .75 into a 2.50 pot looks like a drawing hand, not a hand that is made and could be scared of another heart, ie. TP, set, etc. then the check when the fourth flush card comes just reeks of a nut flush. meaning the only hand that can call your river push is a straight flush. now, if you had bet a regular amount on the river and he pushed over, i would say you quickly call, but the river bet seems like a really bad play.

Do you really think when you pushed that you would get a call from someone who was just playing the board or had a low heart? No way in hell.
Also, I don't like the way you played it, especially the river push. Pushing is definitely +EV, but if you just bet out 1/2 - full pot, you will earn more in the long run, when the K or Q high flush calls you. Also, you should bet the turn. Giving a free card does nothing for you. If villian doesn't have a hand to pay you off with on the turn, he's not paying you off on the river. You will extract more from the K or Q flush with a turn bet followed up by a river bet. You also give 2 pair and sets a chance to fill up. Bet the turn so they have to pay for that opportunity.
