some other players i respect on this site (or used to be here) are ripptyde(he had the best poker mind on ftr and is a shame he was banned), lambchop(because he is a tourney stud), and fnord(becuase he has a good understanding of the fundamentals). Although from many of fnords comments i have lost some respect for his game. RING GAMES MASTER=BIGBOY5540

Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.

Urban dictionary definitions:
1. ego
Relating to thinking about yourself or centering everything around yourself.
1. Egomaniac
1)A self-absorbed waste of oxygen who expects us to grovel at their feet like the unwashed masses they see us as
2.) Someone who talks just to hear themselves (because no-one else will listen)
3.) Someone who posts definitions of their name because they think people care who they are.
4.) The French.
(Unless their country is getting its ass kicked by some invading foreign army then they beg on hands and knees)
5.) US magistrate judges I don’t know if you ever seen one in court but the bastards think they’re GOD (especially when they presiding in mediocre unknown little hic-towns or suburbs)
1. Ego/Penis Size Inverse Proportion Theory
The theory related to Mark Russell that states "the smaller his penis is, the larger his ego gets."

I'm currently making about $600/week playing 10,000+ hands of $0.10/$0.20 blind NL ring on Prima and NL$25 on BoDog. Speaking of BoDog I hope you're taking full advantage of the unlimited %10 reload bonus. I start every session of BoDog with a $200 buy in and end every session by cashing out everything. The cashouts are so fast that I can cashout before bed and the $$ is always in my Neteller account by morning. That extra $20/day can add up at the end of the month. At your stakes you could make an extra $50/day easily. PM me if you want details on clearing the bonus.
In the long term I've made over $30,000/year for the last 2 years, and I've never had more than $3,000 in my bankroll. I have no other source of income and I was married for the last 2 years and had a wife who didn't work and a stepson. When your risk of ruin has to be zero and you have over $2,000/month in living expenses it can be extremely difficult to build up a bankroll and move up in limits. It seemed like whenever I started to build a roll something would happen to cost me $$. $1,000 for a root canal , $1,000 for a new transmission, getting evicted and having to move cost us a shitload, being in Jail over some BS the list goes on. I know these things are just a normal part of life, but it's what makes being a pro with no outside source of income, no medical coverage or retirement plan so difficult. An old pro told me when I started playing "This is a hard way to make an easy living kid", now I know what he meant. Things are easier now I'm single again, all I do is play poker and work out.
I figure you made well over $50,000 in the last 6 months, that's awesome for someone still in college. I dropped out in my final year to play poker full time. I regret it because I left myself no outs. I have to play poker now to make decent $$ because I can only get shitty jobs. If I had finished my degree I could choose between poker and IT jobs or a combination of both.
Keep up the good work and good luck at the tables!!

ky ace: man i wish you luck in poker and whatever else you choose to do. i am so thankful that i don't really NEED the money i make. That would be so much more stressful. I play now because I love the game. ever think about going back to school bro? I don't want to sound like I'm trying to tell you what to do but you only have one more year to finish up, which will not be too bad. I'm sure you can do it.
I will always play poker but I definitely think it would be best for me to finish up school and find a good, dependable job for reasons more than money. Poker is fun when it is a game and you treat it like a game. When it becomes more than a game it becomes stressful and difficult because of the natural swings and unpredictability of it. Also a job can provide health insurance, which will be very important to you and even more important if you decide to have children. Also a job lets you interact with others more, which is fun and a relief from staying home playing poker all the time. Just my humble opinion man.
But is you do decide to stick with poker I am 100% sure you can progress to be a great player even at the higher stakes. Winning 600/week at the stakes you play is so good you don't even know how good it is. Im positive you are good enough to move up in stakes. You just have to go for it. Of course it will start out difficult but from your win rate, I think its safe to say you will be able to adjust just fine in due time. Anway man, I hope to hear about how you are doing soon.

Lukie's only stipulation is that you have to play against him in eight 100$ HU SNG's at once.
5/8 wins!!!!
