6-handed game. Button is 20/13/3ish and attempts to steal the blinds ~30% of the time. SB is also standard TAG and they've been reraising preflop a few times but didn't show anything down or get it past a c-bet or something. Effective stacks 100BB.
Button opens 3½ bb, SB reraises to 12bb, BB folds, Button calls.
Flop low rags (25bb in pot). SB bets 20bb, Button pushes. SB needs to call 68bb to win 200bb.
What is the optimal calling range of SB?

wouldn't you be calling 68 dollars to win a 132 dollar pot?
so you'd need a about a 10 out draw in order to call, right?

i reread your first post and take back what i said. i dont think this guy is just trying to steal the blinds after a reraise and c-bet from sb. I think JJ might be good here...but it is iffy, and i'd have to have a set, QQ+, or a 10 out draw to call...also tptk w/ a-q or a-k i probably call.

so much of this depends on stuff like what I think he (button) is calling my 3-bet with (there is an big difference between the calling ranges of players, even with similar stats, in these spots), what I think about his play in big pots, tendancy to float, etc. And that's ignoring what my range is here and what I think he percieves that to be. So much so that I don't even really know if I can answer this question. Set/big draw are easy calls here, as are KK/AA in most cases. QQ I think I usually call here, but it really depends on so much. The line really gets blurry after that IMO.

I agree. I'll go broke with QQ+ here, JJ- is a fold against solid players.

Yes, but I want to understand these situations better.
