So I realized that I very rarely bet the whole pot post-flop, and I'm wondering how often others find themselves doing this. After reading through some HH advice on 2+2 I noticed lots of players advocating potting flop+turn in several different scenarios. Am I in the minority here or what?

I'm betting the pot a lot more since moving to $200nl on FT. I'm finding c-bets less than 3/4 don't much respect there.

TPTK type hand vs 2+ players on a flush or straight draw board. Though I have been known to pot it in position with say KK on a 247 board in the hope that someone will think I'm stealing.

What's been said above: multiple opponents, draws on the board, but also when I have a monster and the pot is small. A few bucks on the flop and a few more on the turn can make it a lot easier to get it all-in on the river.

^^^ yeah I read in one of Slansky's books that sometimes it's better to play monsters fast. Idea is that if someone else has a good hand (2nd best) that more money's goin in by the river.

i mix it up. sometimes against thinking opponents ill bet the full pot on the flop to rep an overpair. 2/3rds the pot i feel like im repping tp.

i also bet full pot or slightly overbet when i hit a str8 in an unraised pot, or nutflush draw.

Lately I've been thinking of how important bet sizing is, especially in earlier streets. I definitely bet the pot with good hands vs call stations, sometimes with good hands/draws/bluffs against tighter opps.

I bet the pot or very close to it often but find that I don't get all-in too often. Weird, I think. I think I need more All-ins.

I remember reading this too. Makes sense. If everyone folds then you most likely weren't going to make any money off the hand anyways.

the other day i was playing lukie headsup. i raised AQ, he called. flop was AA7, he checked, i bet full pot. he raised because he didnt think i would bet full pot with such a strong hand. you gotta do what it takes to get your opponents' chips in depending on the level they are on.

Based on how that HU session was going, I felt that you'd bet pot or close to it with a wide range, INCLUDING a very strong hand like AQ. It was a caculated raise, just at the wrong time.
