How much raising should one do when he has decent cards and it comes down to calling a bet or making a min. bet? I'm really trying to find out how often one should raise regardless of how great or mediocre his cards are, how aggressive should one be to maximize profit?

what do you mean comes down to calling or making a minimum bet??
as far as raising it depends on your cards, position, opponets, ect.
aggression is a good thing... you just have to learn when to use it.

Thats a very general question so you get the general answers.
Don't min bet, start with 2/3rds the pot and vary to taste/situation.
At lower levels raise anything that you think has at least a 50% chance of being the best hand.
