I was just looking at some figures if i want to play poker as my main income and quit my job. (not right now, just trying to get an idea if I want to do it). I calculated how much I will need and it came to about $8/hour that I need to win.
Currently my $win/hour is about 0.39, but considering i'm playing Micro 2/4c tables, I feel it's ok. My BB/100 is ok in my eyes, probably about between 3 and 4. I'm trying to get my bankroll up to move up to higher tables.
Now my questions are:
1 - how feasible is $8/hour if I play 176 hours per month?
2 - at which limit tables should one play to have that winnings per hour, e.g. NL25 or what?
3 - what is your $won/hour at which table?
Thanks.

you should be doing better than 3-4BB/100 at 2c/4c I think.
3 tabling 25NL 6max for 5BB/100 would give you ~$7.50/hr. Maintaining the necessary hours of play is easier said then done, you are a long ways off from life-style sustainable poker.
I was/(am?) making $7/table/hour at 50NL, averaging 2-3 tables at a time.

QFT x 8923734983. It's also way more stressful than you can imagine.

Waaaaaaay too early for someone to think of these things. My bankroll spreadsheet tells me that I've had a winrate of 40.61$/hour over 337 hours since early september. This number includes bonuses, rakeback, and all poker games. In no way do I feel ready to do this for a living.
I'd say play for a year and then reconsider.

when party had limit tables of 5/10 available i 10 tabled the fr games at $100 per hour plus rb payments (cant remember what this was but prob close to 2-3k per month)
Playing NL at 200nl, 12 tabling across 3 sites is roughly equal to something like $70 per hour.
Its noted above, but once you start to play where you are actually taking it seriously its very difficult to put in the hours.
To be honest, i was told if you cant make $100 per hour MINIMUM you should not even consider pro play.
