Start off slow, w/ one table, learning ABC poker. Once you got that down, and you seem to be making correct decisions faster, then add a table. Play till you get that down, and add one more. Keep adding this way until you are comfortable with the speed of the action, and are still making profitable decisions.

Personally, when going up a level, I like to go back to one table, and pay attention to any noticeable difference in general competition. Once I am more comfortable with the level, I go back to my normal amount of tables w/out worrying about adding on one at a time.

I typically 4-6 table (I would like to 8+ table, but one of my monitors is a laptop lcd). When moving up in stakes I like to gradually add one table at a time of the higher limit.

i've tried to work my way up to 7-8, but cant do it properly...i cant tighten up appropriately, and therefore, lost sight of opponent's tendencies and/or my position. the latter being the worst.

when on 7 tables, and opening KJ UTG because you only see the KJ, you start to donate off your stack, especially when you dont know what/who your are raising it into.

3-4 is where i top out.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.
