On review I'm thinking maybe it was a very bad play of mine in the first place, so can you let me know if you agree please.

This is a freeroll to win a seat in an etp qualifier. How lucky was I this hand!

The conversion doesn't show my oponents hole cards he had A and 6...

why would you make a play like that with 33? the blinds are so small and surely there's a better spot than here..

He'd been bossing the table about with his stack kept ramming all in like 3/8 hands - so i thought I'd take a shot with the pp's - can't beleive I dodged his two pair with my little 3's though!

when shoving with 33 and getting a call, the absolute best case scenario would be that you're 50-50 with two overs to your 33.

for example AK vs 33 is a coinflip (you're slight fav actually)

however, you could've been up sh*ts creek if he had 44 or any pocket pair higher than your 3's. you'd be 4:1 underdog and he'd probably get an easy double up unless you suck out

in your A6 vs 33 it's not that much of a suckout. it was ~50/50 preflop anyways

yeah this is a bad play. at this stage in the tournament there's no need to try and play back agasint him, the blinds are 50/100 and your stack is 7k+. if you dont know what it is read up on "M", if you do know what it is make sure you're paying attention to it.

just because he's bossing the table doesn't mean he's not going to have a decent hand, and with 33 the best you can hope for is for it to be a coin flip really. why risk your tournament life on that at this stage???? there's just no need.

and you didnt really dodge 2pair, you got it all in pre w the best hand (only only just) - and there's no need to be making such calls so early on.

Just another quick note. Don't min-raise! If you're going to raise, make it a raise that somebody will have to think about folding to. The "Standard" is 2.5-3BB, so you would raise here to 350-400 chips.

As others have said, this was not an optimum play. At a full table, you can try to limp with this hand UTG and try to hit a set, but if the table is aggressive at all, you'll be taking your chances on seeing a cheap flop. You have a TON of chips right now relative to the blinds, no need to gamble yet! Just fold or limp this UTG unless you are desperate.
Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

Ah ok thanks - I was kind of going with a 3bet approach - thinking because I showed strength with an early raise they'd credit me more if I raised on the flop. I see what you say though it's too risky I don't know what they've got. Wont do it again!

how are you 3betting in this hand??
if you meant you min raised hoping villain 3bet so you could shove then ask yourself this:

what hands would villain 3bet with that
a)he folds to your shove, and
b)you're comfortable being up against for your tournament life

the best situation is a coinflip, if he has any PP (cept deuces) you're dead. So, in short, pretty horrible play.

and yeah, don't minraise as other's have said... so many people at the micros minraise and I'll call a minraise everytime even if openned with 27o because odds are good enough.
