not really. just tell him to enjoy raising pre-flop as much $ as he wants now.

I play both. The only times I miss being able to overbet the pot are preflop, usually when raising from the blinds, and on the river with a big hand. It doesn't play too different really, he should be fine.

I like pot limit though, I find games to be a touch looser on the all the big sites, and the PLHE on Pokerroom is insane. I don't seem to find quite so many multicampers playing pot limit, it's full of players who love to see flops and just one more card.

Tell him to bet the pot.

Even when I lie.

Tell him the only difference is that strength is easier determined by bet sizes.

As has been said there is hardly any difference apart from preflop raising and the occasional allin river overbet when you catch a miracle card in a tiny pot.

pretty similar game post flop so he should be able to adjust easily enough. easier then moving from limit id say, maybe just tell him/her to be more selective about the hands they enter from early position in a no limit side game
