At 25NL on Pokerstars I quite frequently see 6-7 ppl at the table with a pfr < 5 and a v$ip < 12. Any suggestions on how you make money off people this ridiculously tight?

Over 1100 hands I'm 18v$ip 9 pfr. Do I need to adjust my stats?

I recomment moving sites, if those stats you provided are the norm.
There are plenty of sites to go to that are FULL of fish at 25NL.

Thats hard to do. Guy to my left this morning on one table had 7v$ip/0 pfr over 100 hands. The tables arent always like this on PS but most of the time I 'm playing a session its a nitfest.

Is changing sites really my best bet?

I play those levels and have the same problem on Titan. Full of weak/tight players during the week. Also thinking about switching sites e.g .Bodog where the play is looser. Or finally try Party Poker if I could just get over that horrible look.

Why not use some table mods? Go to This thread for links to mods.

Seriously switch to Party. I always thought that the $25 was horrible because it's the lowest limit they have it's barely better than the $5NL @ Stars.

Thanks for the links re mods. I should seriously consider it. I have sent them an e-mail regarding any reload bonus for me before I try it out. I've heard that the bonus is easy to work off.

Do the mods stop party poker from using like 80% of my system resources?

Will that matter if you play limits that don't have Monster though?

Not as much. It does have options to remove the Party Monster jackpot counter, block pop-ups, etc., that will have some effect on CPU load though. Plus it has convenience settings to do things like auto-post blinds (or auto-wait for BB), auto-join wait list, auto-reload, auto-leave table, etc. I think it's worth running even if you aren't playing Monster tables.

find a better game on another site.
And ive heard the 'but stars is better etc' reasons all before. if you play small stakes poker you should be bonus whoring and learning where the best games are. When you get to 100nl or 200nl after bonus whoring consider moving to party or stars where the majority of medium/high stakes games get played.

In other words, what do want to do? Play on stars 'pretty' software or pwn some fish and make money?

Stars has good software, but I think the bigger appeal is that they have great management, are very winner-friendly and have people with 3-digit IQs who answer your phone calls + emails in person. Given the absurd amount of money we pay in rake, at least when I play at Stars I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I think this applies mostly to those new in the game who havent had to grind it out on the shyte that is out there in the sense of other poker rooms. I admit stars is good, but my argument would be that for small stakes players making money and building the br is much more important than learning to play good and getting a nice voice on the phone where rake payment is probably less important than an rb deal and good games available elsewhere.

Stars is the best site to play at except for the players. The software, the layout, the traffic and customer service are all A+ IMO. The only problem is the players aren't as bad as elsewhere and that's why I don't play cash games there, and there are no bonuses or rakeback. It's just more profitable to play on other sites.

It would be heaven if all the Party players moved over and played at Stars.

Same here. I can 0nly say forget Titan for the bonus playing $20NL (they don't have $25NL). You would need to play at least $50NL to comfortably clear their 100% bonus. I will have a look at Bodog for their apparently easy to get 10% bonus (I will just dump my bankroll there) with RB and hoping for a reload bonus for Party. Otherwise its back to the rock garden at Titan for me.

Thin on the ground these days. Obviously do party, if you haven't already. I'm not sure if empire are offering anything at the moment, but I'd keep an eye out for a signup bonus. They do the occasional reload, so it's worth getting both party & empire accounts.

Other than that, I'd go for the pokerroom network. Do hollywood poker first, $200 for 1000 player points (8-10k hands). If you like that, there are loads of 7x and 10x bonuses on that network. The games are the fishiest online IMO, but beware, they are slow and I can't play more than 4 tables there otherwise my computer laggs really bad. The software is shite. Im sick of it now, but ive pulled loads of $$$ off there playing tight.

Check out tribeca sites too (VC Poker / Doyes). The bonus there is like 80% contributed rakeback and you can get $100 monthly. All the above sites are much fishier than stars. Check out bonuswhores.com for loads of info on current bonuses and clearance rates etc.

Another tip on the big sites is to play the pot limit games rather than the no limit. I didn't bother for ages, as for some reason i was worried they would be full of "PLHE specialists" lol. But they aren't, they are full of chimps and the multirocks seem to avoid pot limit. Much looser games on average, even on party & stars.

Good luck, and happy camping.

Sorry to steal some of your thunder, but I have a question that is on the similar lines to the original post.

I feel as though most people are seemingly playing on party or OnGame.

I've been playing on Interpoker the last few months, and have only played on this site.

Has anyone played on this site and other sites, that can give me a basis for comparison. Is this site more/less fishy than the rest?

Clearly pokerstars seems to be a lot less fishy than most others.

Anyone have the experience that Stars 50NL is a much easier game than the 25NL?

A rock will generally over estimate there hand value far too much, especially on the flop.

They generally play high cards and big pairs so what i like to do against a rock is identify a very tight player, the kind of player who will bet into you with an unimproved AK on the flop and trap him.

I will call the rocks pre - flop raise " in position " with a drawing hand such as 4/5 suited or 7/8 suited. Rocks will never give you respect for calling their raise with a small drawing hand. They always think youll be too intimidated to call their raise as it would be foolish cause they only play top hands. try and "surprise them". I know this all too well cause i use to be one!

If the flop comes low, a rock will almost certainly have missed the flop unless he has a big pair which just isnt possible most of the time. This is where your read of your opponent comes more important. Does he have a big pair? if you dont think so you can bluff him off the pot by putting in bet/re - raise on the flop or maybe even the turn/river depending on the aggressivness of the opponent.
