I rarely go on tilt but when a maniac/fish plays 2, 7 os or king, 2 os to beat your AA, KK, TPTK.....how do you guys deal with em? Do you guys just forget about it right away and just focus more on the game or do you guys take a short break?
make the RIGHT decision at the RIGHT time.

Current BR: $721 (not counting the initial $100)

I started with $100 on July 20, 2005

CURRENT PROJECT: "Im gonna get all of my $ I lost at the casino back"

1. Stick a note on them
2. Reload
3. Show them good cards
4. Take their money

Dont beat yourself up over a hand, if you feel you made the right decision.

oh he busted your AA with 27o, time to curse at him and leave the table right?

wrong, time to reload and keep playing. I play in a homegame where i'll get raised 20xbb by a guy with K5s, and I beat them more often than not.

I've actually had a guy ask me "how can you reraise me all-in with QQ after i raise you ? I always lose with that hand"
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

I showed a friend of mine the Kleptic starting hands, and he actually said he didn't agree with grouping QQ with AA and KK, that he didn't think it was a very good hand. I showed him my PT stats for QQ. He shut up

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the topic at hand: Reload, Add them to your buddy list, tell them they have excellent strategy, etc.

thought he was flush drawing or inside straight drawing, thought he might even call with ax or a queen. either way, pathetic flop call.

It sucks when that happens, but it's not a big deal. The more it happens to you, the more zen you will become about it. What really sucks is when they leave before you got the chance to bust them.

Just yesterday I lost:

$120 with QQ against 52 offsuit

$200 with AA against Q3 offsuit

$240 with AA against Q2s

I never limped with any of these hands.

Only the last one bothered me because I made a bad call. The others were virtually unavoidable. Believe it or not, I still had a winning session.

i'd label all these guys who won those hands and always search for them at tables. Sit down with position on them and make them pay 8/9 times more than they took off me on those few hands.
As for the bad run, it happens just keep that head up high (ive had another the last week or so where every good preflop hand ive had gets murdered post flop on the turn and river)

I am reading Theory of Poker. He mentions that good players are going to get bad beat more often than bad ones…only because you are going to get your money in when you were ahead…the definition of a bad beat. So next time you get bad beat just realize that means you are a good player. Hahaha. I know it’s thin, but you gotta look on the bright side.
Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL

I agree with your friend in that QQ should not be grouped with AA and KK. It's still an excellent hand though obviously.

What do you mean by maniac? If they call you down with weak crap, let them call you down with weak crap. If they raise with crap, reraise with stuff that isn't as crappy.
