i had re raised him a couple times prior to this hand and stole, and i knew if i pushed here he would call me thinkin i had junk, i put him on about what he had but didnt really take time to think it over.
i feel like i played it stupid and got what i deserved for pushing pre flop here, still i think even if i had seen the flop id have put myself ahead and wouldnt of been able to fold. thoughts?

Getting all the chips in preflop with the best hand is NOT bad and is absolutely PERFECT. If you thought he would call, you played it well. You just got unlucky.
P.S. Welcome to FTR

You made on a good read on what villian would do and, as Courtie mentioned, got your chips in the middle with the best hand. The rest is up to the poker Gods (oh, and if its PokerStars, Lee's kill switch, hehe).
Welcome to FTR and if you want more feedback on hands that puzzle you feel free to post them in the SNG forum.

Here's the poker stove output for your preflop situation:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 68.064% 67.83% 00.23% 1161493 3961.50 { KhKs }
Hand 1: 31.936% 31.71% 00.23% 542888 3961.50 { AsJs }
Assuming villains would only push hands of AJs or BETTER, here's the simulation:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 68.939% 67.70% 01.24% 56803864 1037594.00 { KhKs }
Hand 1: 31.061% 29.82% 01.24% 25023844 1037594.00 { 99+, AJs+, KQs, AKo }
The second stove evaluation is against the Top 5% of PokerStove hands, and you're still better than 2 to 1 preflop.
Good play. Good shove. Bad luck. Overall it's a winning play.

This wasn't the wrong forum - it was definitely a newbie question. I would suggest reading several HH's and analyses in the SnG forum, trying to find HH's from the level you play most often. See what different lines people advocate with what kinds of hands, relative stacks, blinds, and reads.
The typical SnG forum posters would have seen this HH and basically said, "wtf?? shove, shove, shove!!" Here, folks take a bit more time to respond since the people who post here are, admittedly, beginnners.
Don't be shy, though. People may be blunt, but they're here trying to analyze your thinking and help you fix up your game. That's helpful.
There's a slick HH converter at weaktight.com that will clean up the HH's text a bit more. By the way, there's a typical FTR practice of not posting the outcome of the hand. We post only the part of the HH up to the vital decision point, here, the all-in shove, and leave the rest out. That way, the people who analyze the hand face the same decision that troubled you, and they say what they think without focusing on the actual outcome.
Hope this helps. Get in here, read some HH's + analyses, post some of your own hands. It helped me become a better player. Still does, as a matter of fact.

Robb got his post in before I could but was also going to say that you can also post here if you don't feel comfortable with posting in the SNG forum. Most of the regular's in that forum check this one as well.
Good Luck on the tables.

Just so you don't feel bad, this was the first hand I posted about 2.5 years ago.

Good instinct - do more of this, and try to get in early on some of the HH discussions in the SnG forum, take a stab, say what you'd do, see what others think.
As others have said, welcome to FTR - good luck at the tables.
