This is one part where I need to fix up my game. Say im SB and I have AX. Should I raise here?

Also, say you have 45 spades. Flop is 69q Rainbow. Will you ever bet into someone as SB. Same hand, your BB...they check..Do you bet? If so, how much?

I would say 90% of the time if I'm BB and SB checks in this situation, I'm betting the bet (Exception when flop is all one suit and I don't have it...Flush drawers never fold)

No, I never do that folded to me in the SB raise thing. You're only try to win 1 bb, op will usually assume its a steal and call (possibly reraise) and will most likely attempt to steal the pot post flop (where you don't have position.)

But I'm generally very aggressive from LP.

Rilla said it all. Only an idiot continually tries to steal 1 BB at a cash game. It's a losing proposition. I almost never raise from SB. It's usually more profitable to limp bigger hands against an even modestly aggressive BB and hope to slow play a few more BB out of him depending on the community cards. That's because I get better pot odds and implied odds to play that way in the blinds.

The bottom line is you have barely any pot odds or implied odds in a blind battle. If you call the SB you're getting 3:1. If you raise the BB you're getting 2:1 on a call. You start out at 2:1 for the pot, and you're rarely going to get payed off on hands you raise, which makes your implied odds really shitty. You improve you're implied odds by limping a strong hand here. You see, you're taking advantage of the only deception available, while getting 3:1 on the pot. I wouldn't do it every time, but it's not a bad deal. I'm a big believer in playing a passive SB.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Also becomes more of a strategy at huge money tables.

I would say 90% of the time if I'm BB and SB checks in this situation, I'm betting the bet (Exception when flop is all one suit and I don't have it...Flush drawers never fold)
I play live games so we always chop chop.

And the reason for this is blind battles are a waste of everyone's time.

Do it in tournaments where blinds get pretty impressive at the later rounds.

Yeah, but at least you get to flip them over and every one can feel sorry for you. The other blind will play nicer against you now, lol.

Not to mention the fact that after the rake only the casino wins money.
