Default Hmm, what to do with pocket pairs, anyone, anyone?

so, i used to min raise with PP because i wanted people
in the hand but not any old surprise cards.

i've recently been experiementing with limping in with them, limp calling if need be. Just because i wondered if, in the long run, this would pay off, getting more people in the hand.

Certainly there are arguements against so i'd like to hear them. But i also want to know if it's reasonable to take this line with PP?

I pump it or dump it.

Think about it, if you limp all your PPs then as soon as you limp, people will know you have a PP. You're supposed to disguise the strength of your hand, not broadcast it.

On some tight tables I will play low PP's from UTG, but I always bring them in with a standard 4xBB raise. It works better on a tight table because it's easier to represent something bigger if you miss the flop.

Wonderland, this has been discussed numerous times, both in this sub-forum, and others. Please put the search feature to good use, and see what you come up with.

This thread will be locked because the content discussed is becoming rather redundant, and can be found throughout this site.
