Hey there I been reading this forum since I started playing poker 6 months ago
Any way an event occoured the other night that I need some advice on I think this happens to everyone but I would like a few opinions

My poker story

When I first about Augest last year I was a pretty average player so hours of reading the strategy guides on hear and other places I came up as a consistent player I fininshedinthe money in 90% of the sit and goes I played online (play money if that matters) and when I played a tournament at home I always won Then last week I was invited to a game sit and go at a friends house I though great I should kick some ass here out of 10 people there were only 3 with a little more experance that me.
Any way the cards were damb cold for me that night with me being first out and rebuying in 3 times in 3 of my all in I still think I made the correct desistion odds wise I just had a few bad beats.

So I had a bad night Big deal I put it behide me and got on with life

Now the reson for my story Last night I was invited to a casnio (I don't normaly got to casinos due to kids and famliy. But baby sitters were avalable and the wife and me shot of for a night out

Well all we wanted to play was poker all this casino had for us was a $50 buyin $1/$1 no-limit tables max 6 players. on we both jump.

I wont go into details of how bad I went but I was getting bullied out of pots, had good hands beaten on the river and I was bluffed out of a $100 pot.
So I'm down $120 I leave the table

My first time at the casino and I am eaten buy the sharks. I guess I expected it

But there is more to this story
My wife at the same table who I taught to play only 2 months ago has $300 in chips in front of her and is domanating the table it got to the point that as soon as she bet everybody was folding out.

The question I ask is what the hell should I do to become a better player at a casino level
I have already put myself on a break but the next time I go back to a casino I really want to make a better show of my self but I can see that this last experance is burned in to my mind and will only increase my nervs next time.

Somthing else happen at I didn't know what to do
The dealer mucked my ace high flush and payed out the wrong person
I did not state what I had I just fliped over my AK The dealer looked mucked the cards and pushed the chips to the hand with 2 pair my statments of I had a Flush came back with "I didn't see it" from the bloke getting paid what do I do the cards are gone the dealer just chose to agree with this other guy.
What would you have done here

Surely the casino would have security camera footage that could be checked if you showed your cards?

I had never even thought of that well a bit late to do anything about this time but if it ever happens again I will at least know what to do

I noted the time to get the footage reviewed but was informed that the casino will not do that for the poker tables.

Well it was a big learning experance next time I should be able to concerntrate a bit better. It was dam good fun all the same

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
Welcome to FTR.

Your stat numbers seem illogical, 90% ITM finishes is almost impossible on a large enough sample size, and winning every home tourney must mean you play with total morons.

If you can afford it deposit $100 at pokerstars and start playing the $1 Sng.

Post intersting hand histories in the forum.

Also dont jump into any conclusions from one poker session, short term poker game has a hugh 'luck' (actually statistical) factor, poker is a loooooooooooooooooooooong term game

They film the overhead, not the pocket cams like on the WSOP/WPT feature tables.

I don't know if they are morons

Thanks for the advice I will have a look at poker stars and I am not going to let this one bad game get to me.

Cheers
