25nl at bodog

First Hand

Q6os SB, 3 ppl limps pot is 1.35

Board comes 635r, i bet 1.00, 3 callers
Turn comes 2
I bet 1.4 all fold celpt one guy who reraises double
I call, river comes K
I Check, he bets have the pot
I fold

Second Hand

T7s SB 4 limpers

Board comes 974 with 2 clubs
Checks all around
Turn is Tc giving me 2 pairs but a possible flush
I bet half the pot
2 callers
River is K, I check
Guy bets 2/3 of pot I call

For first hand, I just dont got guts to call 5$ on a 4 card str board. SHould i have checked/called it down?
Second hand, should i raied more on turn?

ALso, anyone who plays bodog got anyadvice for beating the 25nl? I tend to totally rock inb the 10nl because most ppl are just easy money. But for the 25nl, i tend to be scared money, raising too much with AQos out of postion while in 10nl i just limp and play my post flop beyyer--scared of letting ppl seeing cheap flops on my preium hand.

thx

EDited: Took out result for 2ndhand. haha simple answer for first one, preflop fold, makes sense. But with 4 ppl isnt it worth seeing the flop?

Try to post hands and not give us the results. Its hard to give advice when we know the outcome of the hand.

Hand 1 fold preflop.

I'm still thinking about hand 2....

hand #1: given the pot odds, you were gettin good odds on your money but that would be a hand where you generally want to toss away before you get yourself into unnecessary trouble. as for the flop play...

your holding Q6 off suit

flop comes: 6 3 5 rainbow... with 3 players..

i dont mind the $1 bet into the $1.35 ... this is a dangerous board so your really betting to gain information rather than protect your top pair good kicker.

you get 3 callers... this should give you the red light and tell you to slow down..

the turn comes a 2... this is a very very dangerous card. as you know this will complete a 4 card to a straight... with 3 smooth callers on the flop it is highly likely one of your opponents recieved help from that 2..

this is where i believe you should go into check/fold mode rather than continue betting. this is a situation where alot of ppl lose there money, where there is 4 to a straight... one person is holding top pair/2pair/set on a 4 to a straight board while the other person is holding a straight and the person pays off the straight.

two mistakes i would see in hand one is betting on the turn and calling on the turn to a minraise with 4 to a straight..

good fold on the river..

hand #2: ...

you are holding 10 7 of clubs

the flop comes: 9 7 4 /w 2 clubs

see there are many things to take into consideration...you have a powerful hand at this point.. did you have position on your table? where u on the cutoff seat? first to act? generally if i got a piece of the board with a flush draw i would throw out a 2/3 to a potsize bet to thin the field considering if i am going against a top pair there are numerous possibilities to improve my hand where as if noone is holding a decent hand i can take down the pot right there. it will also let you know where you stand in the hand.

the turn comes a ten which gives you two pair and a flush draw...
this would be a good time to bet out which you did so good play here...

the river came a king... not giving you the flush... i like the safe check you do on the river.. you have a strong hand but the king could have helped someone w a higher two pair such as K9, K10.. i would have done the same and gone into the check/call mode.

hope i was any help.. good luck in the future.
ace king is not a made hand.

Thanks for the reply!
I understand now that it takes some disipline to make strong bets and good
folds. Ya, shouldnt have bet the turn with 3 smooth callers.

THe 2nd hand, i think i played it right, unfortunately the K gave him a str, but had to call it down.

thanks again
