Helping our competitors: A moral dilemma?

So, clearly FTR is really helpful online forum and we all want to help each other become better players. My question is around where we draw the line if we know for a fact that an opening poster is a direct competitor that we tussle with and have pages of notes on: do we want to make them aware of their leaks and make ourselves known to them, or do we choose not to comment on their threads or simply comment on the thread more generally? Would we even go so far as to avoid them at the tables?

I realise this may be the wrong place to post this thread..

I would comment on his/her posts as I would any other's. Commenting on posts makes me a more thoughtful player and I'm willing to let the few who are here, working with me, see those thoughts.

If they turned out to seem like a considerate, nice person, I may let them know who I am, as it's fair/friendly to have equal knowledge of who each other are.

As for avoiding him/her at the table, though... you've got to be kidding, right? I love my friends, but I'm aiming to clean their clocks when we sit down for poker night.

P.S. I wouldn't discuss their personal leaks in the forums. I don't think this is the place for that kind of discussion... If they found out who I am and asked me, I would consider discussing it in a private message.

Let's say someone posts a brag post about some inferior reg bluffing a superior reg and wanting a pat on the back.

now to continue this hypothetical, completely ethereal situation, that drunken superior reg rage posts a major leak in inferior regs post.

now if this were to happen, drunk superior reg would later delete this post because drunk superior reg plays with bad inferior reg on the daily. and lets all be honest, if you spot the suckers leaks, you don't say a damn word -paraphrased from nut best poker movie of all time Rounders

now let's say inferior reg gets all upset, because he feels entitled to be told his leaks by all superior regs and goes on to rage about how superior reg is taking away from the community spirit, because thats entitlement yo.

now lets say inferior reg were to remain rageupset for many many moons, as my native american brethren might say, and proceed to post bad advice and compose himself in conduct detrimental to a certain boss applesauce poker forum. and likely keep on doing so cause thats how bad regs think, or as the homies would tell me.

You benefit way more from thinking about hands and posting responses. It actually helps your game, who cares about his. Your trying to get better so you should post away because it helps you to do that.
