ok, so this guy has single handedly taken around 1/6th of my bankroll.
He is a calling station and runs at 55/7 across 700 hands. Basically limp into anything, calls anything. But he wins consistently, always got more than the full buy in, multi-tables around 6 at a time. Contradiction, no? Loose passive? Makes no sense because i've seen his style, he just calls until he hits.
So, for example, i'll tend to raise with a strong hand, he always calls me because he's stacked me so often, i'll hit my hand and bet bet bet until he hits the river and hits his monster.
First time i posted this complaint, all the beautifully supporting crew of this wonderful community were very sympathetic and didn't at all attempt to belittle me. Young fragile poker upstart that i am, i was very grateful for that </sarcasm>
But Robb did post a good article about fucking up calling stations, so i read that and sought out this player knowing that he'd be a good ATM if only i played him better. MORE aggressively, make him PAY to see the river.
So this i did.... and here it is, yet another fuck up:
http://weaktight.com/453584
I just couldn't call it, after all the times he's hit in the past i just couldn't call. Did i play this ok?

no, it's a genuine question.
I need help with this kind of player. I currently have three issues with my game:
1. I only make money from super fish
2. I usually lose to calling stations, a lot of my bankroll has gone to them when i raise and don't expect to be called with K9o.
3. in generall i find micro stakes a double edged sword because of the above reasons, i make massive wins because of poor players and massive losses because of #2, getting called with insane hands.
The above hand is an illustration of that.

It's hard to give advice based off of one hand. Does he call any flop? If not you could start to widdle his range down. What does he overbet with, etc? Berating him before you fold accomplishes nothing.
Maybe consider betting more when you beat TP. i.e. betting 1.5x or 2x pot? Someone who calls everything you need to play tighter pre or smarter post and this hand isn't where you're going to lose money.

The hand is fine. You got a bunch of chips in when you were (likely) ahead. Board is dry, and you kept betting. vnh.
If you play stations this way (or even 1.5 PSB flops, like Swiggidy says, adjusting based on reads), you'll profit.

Your problem isn't with poker at all. The rest of what I was going to type will likely be a waste of time since you'll assume I'm putting you down or whatever anyway, but if you want to talk about it come find me in IRC. There's a sticky in the community forum if you aren't sure how to get there.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

oh man, i fuckin dispair.
today has been the hardest day of poker since i've started. Down 5 buy ins just today and i think i've destroyed a few things around the apartment as a result, not to mention my own forehead and knuckles.
Just not sure i'm cut out for this.
Poker is my last shot at a career, hence the big pressure and bigger tantrums.
Is there a poker counselling section of the forum? ha

Dude, you're at penny stakes. It could take 6+ months of grinding to get within sniffing distance of real money. That's not to dissuade you from trying to improve your game, but adding the additional pressure of supporting yourself isn't going to help.
This isn't your only option for a career.
Also, you raised 3bb pre. Dude, it's 4bb+1 per limper for higher stakes so make it 0.10 minimum. Then by the river you'd have a trivial amount remaining instead of 1.5 times the pot.

if you raise 1xbb +1bb for each limper preflop then you're going to run into well deserved trouble.
In the posted hand raise to 0.10 pre, then maybe you won't be seeing the flop 4-way with aces (not what you want!). Also, then your pot bet on the flop can be bigger etc.
and stop saying "calling station" in chat. And definitely stop being honest about your hand in chat. In fact, turn off chat cos it obviously makes you do things that are -EV - things like telling bad players why they suck.

wonderland, poker is a game. Most people cannot succeed in poker as a career. If you're not having fun and you get irrationally angry on a regular basis, you should probably quit.
