Hi All,
Firstly, last night I entered my very first live tourney. Out of 151 competitors I finished 4th!!!! Yay for me!
Now to my actual question......
On my final hand the blinds were eating all of us up pretty quick.
Due to person being knocked out previous hand there is no small blind. I was BB at $20,000 and had $19,400 left over.
Dealt pocket Jacks. One all in of $8,000 and then chip leader calls BB and then action to me. I go all in. Chip leader thinks about it a while and then calls.
All in guy: 2h 2d
Chip leader: Ad 9d
Me: Jh Jd
Now I know enough to know my hand is best at this point.
What I'm wondering though is if anyone good at maths or who has a hand odds calculator could tell me exactly what the percentages are for winning hands here? In particular what are the odds of chip leader making a flush?
Long story short........chip leader made a flush on the river.
Thems the breaks though.
Cheers and thanks in advance

0.842% chance to flop the flush
11% to flop a four flush (and 33% to hit by the river)
Not sure what the odds of flopping only one card of your suit, but runner runner flush is 4%
Pre-Flop:
JJ is 56.6% to win
A9d is 26.2% to win
22 is 17.2% to win

Thanks for that edulive. I just wanted to know if I was a little unlucky or really really unlucky on that hand! haha
Guess with the two callers it was pretty much a coinflip so that makes me feel better.
Cheers,

There's also a .16% chance to tie lol. www.pokerstove.com has a good hands calculator to use. I recommend it.
