Post subject: Help FTR - Where do I go from here?

Hi all,
I feel stuck in a rut with poker at the moment and would like some advice.....
My poker career so far.....
- Spent a year donking about with SNG's, reading HOH etc.
- Deposited $30 at Everest and worked this up to $500 playing 10NL 6-Max, although this included a $300 tourney win.
- Took a shot at 25NL and multitabling trying to clear a bonus (big mistake!) and dropped to $280 before I switched back to 10NL
- I worked this back up to $600 and moved across to Full Tilt, to try their bonus
- I had another crack 25NL and my bankroll shot up briefly to $700 before falling to below $500
- I switched back to 10NL but still felt stuck (-1.38 PTBB)
- I then recently switched to 10NL FR but this made things worse (-7.66 PTBB)
My sample sizes are pretty small because I don't get to play very often - Full time job with wife and kid! - 11K hands on FT, 12K hands on Everest.
I'd say that multitabling might a problem but I was doing this fine on Everest.
My real frustration stems from the fact that I actually felt I'd improved (done some reading up on FTR and fixed some leaks) - I'll post my PT position stats in a mo.
Basically, I'm after advice about where to go next? Back to the books? SNGs? 6-Max? Drop tables? Quit poker?
I just feel a little lost and any advice from seasoned FTR'ers would be a big help.

Seasoned I'm not. My suggestion would be to check the bar on the left - find Poker Videos - watch spendas microstakes series and think about what he does.
Then play one table only with the Hand History for the table open. Every showdown hand take notes on every player based on their pocket cards and how they played them.
Play short sessions only - max 1 hour - one table only. After each session, sit down with your hand history and go through every hand that went to showdown in PokerStove. Generally spend at least as much time studying as playing.
Your focus (and mine) shouldn't be on playing a lot of hands, building a bankroll or defending a bankroll. It should be on learning. Think ranges, post hands and discuss ranges.
At least that's my... 72o? Is that the poker equivalent of 2 cents?

Looks okay. Maybe open raise more. Maybe just a smidge tighter might help too. However, I play FR with around the same VPIP and do fine. Detail would be helpful here I think.

Learn a new kind of poker. You can start at $10 where they're god awful terrible and it doesn't matter that you make a ton of mistakes. You can use what you've learned about poker to push people off hands they don't really want (and even when you make mistakes it doesn't matter because they're so terrible).
Maybe that's just me.
Also, FullTilt has always been significantly more difficult for me. Play softer games.

Adjust to the players more. I think that's what I've been doing wrong anyway. Self analyse and put your oppenents on a range on every street, if that's to much to do while playing do it afterwards on all your big pots.

Thank MFG it's not just me...  I do quite nicely at both $10 & $25NL at UB and Absolute. I checked out FT about 6 mos ago 'cause I'm locked outta RB at the UB (but I got free PokerTracker outta the deal..!!! IDIOT!!!  ) Spenda suggested I get the f- off of FT. But I'm a thick headed dumb-@ss... and I'm STILL there... My 4.5+PTBB/100 game at UB and AP got me barely at break even at FT WITH RB.
But I ain't leaving, goddamn it... I'm-a break this b!tch if it takes me another 137,000 hands... (okay, that's an exaggeration... I'm only at 92K hands at FT $10NL....)

Ok, if nothing else, this thread has raised my spirits a little in that other people seem to be in the same boat.
I'm still not sure whether to stick with FR or go back to 6-max though. I guess I'll quit FT though once the bonus period finishes.
