I just bought a Samsung Syncmaster 204B monitor with a max resolution of 1600x1200. I installed the drivers the max resolution that i am getting is 1280x1024 in the display settings. Do i need to get a new video card, or how do i adjust this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

What are the specs on your vid card? With some cards you can adjust/find the settings by right clicking on your desk top. If there isn't anything odd with your vid card you might have to adjust the settings on the monitor itself. The manual should assist with that. The default most likely isn't 1600x.

It's your vid card. You'll need a new one. I have the same monitor.

If the monitor supports it, It's your video card. 1280x1024 is usually the max for 64mb. When buying the video card makke sure you have the manual for the frequencies that are supported at 1600x1200, they start to get few and far between if you don't buy the highest end cards.
