Hey all,
I need a little advice from the bonus whores among you.
My game seems to be holding up quite well at the levels I am playing at but I am definately not rolled/ready to move up. So, to maximise my take from this beautiful game at the moment, I am drawn to the idea of bonus whoring.
But here is my problem..
I play mostly .05/.10 ring games and $5+50 SnG's on Stars. Playing SnG's alone, I doubt if I would ever make a bonus at all, the point accumulation is so slow. The ring games are better but only just. I have played a estimated 40 hours and not even achieved half of the required fpp. Not even close.
When I played .10/25 ring games my points accumulated quite quickly. However, I now realise I do not have the BR for these tables and consequently leave them alone.
What I would like to ask you is this;
Is it even possible to profitably bonus whore at the levels I play at?
If so, what are the best sites to do so on?
If bonus-whoring is futile at my level, what level does it become feasable?
I have searched the forums for info but have not been able to find any answers. Any and all advice is totally appreciated.
Cheers

Man it takes forever to bonus whore at those limits even multi-tabling. But it doesnt hurt to try.
On another note, I am one that believes your bankroll should be built with your wins and you should move up when you are truelly ready and killing the game your at. Bonus whoring to build a bankroll to move up is useless if you are a small winner and cant beat the next level.
I am in NO case saying this is your situation, just stating a generality.

hi miffed, i'd be interested in working out where best to bonus whore too. At the moment i'm playing 25nl on stars and i'd really like to build a bit of a bankroll with some bonuses.
I'm playing from australia, so no stupid gambling laws or anything, and i've got around $500 to start whoring with.
Cheers, and look forward to any advice you can give.

Guys Hollywood poker has a 1000$ bonus wich you have 2 months to clear. I have to admit even multi-tabling 25NL might takle a while but it is cleared in 50$ increments.

Whoring at 10nl isnt so difficult, it may just take a littlelonger than normal thats all.

I disagree completely. All the way up to at least 100NL you should focus on building a bankroll. When you have the roll for 200NL you could slow down a bit and look at the "playing poker" part of your game.
There were a couple of very decent bonuses when I whored that level 1 1/2 years ago, but I think most of those have disappeared. Someone should make a new Guide to Bonus Whoring (easy-T are you still here ).

Prima is the place to be for $10NL bonuses. Start at Trident, and move to Riverbelle. With Riverbelle though, it's all about hands. You gotta play alot of hands. Most bonuses, especially at the $10NL or $25NL are about hands. If you can't get 15K hands or more a month. Just wait, don't wast time on bonuses. Learn the game.

trainer has really hit it on the head. If you google primapoker or prima netw0rk youll eventually come to a page that lists all the prima rooms and you can just hit them all up.
Beyond that, you could do with an account at doyles room as the tribeca networks games are good, lots better than stars/full tilt. But the doyles sign up is very large, too much for anything below 100nl IMO.
