I was reading the thread over in the 6max thread and thought it'd be fun to hold another tourney for us newbs. There is no way I can afford $10 much less $100. Anyone want to setup one with a $1-$5 buy-in or something?

I'm in but, I would be very interested in a more wothwhile side bet, as I'm sure some of the other micro ballas will.
Perhaps something in the $15 - $25 region.

No and I thought it'd be better if it was setup by FTR.
I'd be happy to do it, however, if I get enough interest and can figure out how.

You just have to send an email to the site with details of the tournament. Just google private tournaments FT or PS and it should bring up some good links. I set up a tournament once and won it, beat my 2 friends for a cool $1.85

I'd definitely be interested in a $1-5 buy-in, especially if it was on PokerStars.

Hey that's a GREAT idea! We could give each other feedback on how everyone played and we could actually have a SOCIABLE online game and I'd actually use the chat haha. Let me know if it goes through!

OP: Beginner to Master
If I bet as a bluff, I should be thinking "am I getting better hands to fold? Is it likely that he will fold x% of the time to a y sized bet to make it +EV?". If I bet for value, I should be thinking "am I getting worst hands to call? Am I ahead of enough of his range that this is a good value bet?".

dranger I'm in.
Be prepared to get donked out on because that seems to be my specialty of heads up matches.

We should set up a poor man's regular tourney as well!

Done. We have freerolls and short-buy-in events here at FTR.

Oh right. LOL I just don't have access yet. We should have tournaments where the big guys aren't allowed to play so that I have some chance of fluking out and winning

great idea count me in, I've been wanting an excuse to learn some hu basics for a while... $1 buy in works great for me!
I think best of 3 HU's matches is a good idea like the other thread anyone else agree? Also the other match wasn't set up on the poker site as 'one' event, it was just getting drawn and then everyone arranging to play their individual hu's matches with their opponent within a deadline of time... that way you haven't got to spend like 7-8 hours waiting on matches etc.. to finish
So like 3 matches per draw and the tourney organised through someone at ftr instead of the poker site would be great i think, but count me in w/e just some suggestions!
