I am a NL player and was wanting to finally start playing online.

I have an initial bankroll of $500, but wanted to know how I should start using that money.

Where should I initially deposit that money? Should I do it all at once, split it up, which sites?

Is there an order of sites that I should follow for withdraw, deposit, etc?

I've read a lot of the 5% use of bankroll per day and will be following that advice while playing some NL and NL-sit-n-go games.

Thanks for all your help!

I'd pick a site with a good first-deposit bonus. I think PartyPoker would be a good place to start out at.

I think you should deposit all of it on one site.

With $500 I'd start at 25NL and $10 SNGs until you get a feel for things and build your bankroll.

Good luck!

Also, how competent are you? If you're a beginner who wants to learn, then start at maybe $0.05/$0.10 tables (not the 1 and 2 cent ones, you'll learn next to nothing there), but if that $500 has accumulated at B&M casinos, then obviously you have some ability and should start at $25NL.

If you *have* come from B&M joints, remember that online games are of an equivalent value when the blinds are 3 or 4 times LOWER than at the casinos.

Good advice right there.
  • Open a Neteller account first thing.
Bonuses will help pad your bankroll as you grow, but only take advantage of bonuses that you can take FULL advantage of.
Seek specific info about a poker room, make sure you can take advantage of it, before you burn a bonus. Don't go signing up for play accounts willy nilly because it might cost you free money in the future.
Welcome -- it is such a blast!

No, really.

Thats the max buyin. Also when you start bonus whoring (which is a very good idea for beginners) make sure to sign up through a rakeback affiliate if possible. Right now it isn't too important, but if you move up in stakes rakeback can provide a nice side income.

The max buy-in at PartyPoker's $.10/.25 tables is $25. Other places may be different, but most are in line with those limits. 100 BB's.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I've been moving this week, so will not be able to start "officially" until tomorrow.

Yes, I've earned most of my money at Atlantic City.

However, this would be the first time playing online.

Easy T I would also like to know some details on the "ins and outs" of bonus extractions.

I'll PM you soon.

No problem. Bonus extraction is easy, like me. :P But at first it can seem confusing. Everyone has a few questions. I'll walk you through the first one (or twelve). Sure beats AC, baby----last time I checked, AC casino's don't hand you a hundred dollar bill as you WALK OUT THE DOOR WITH YOUR WINNINGS!!!!

(And then, in some cases, beg you to come back with another bill 3 weeks later.)

EasyT.
