sorry for no use of converter, this is from memory...

We are UTG with 9hTh. Table bully (43/35/2.7) is on BTN. We are going to raise to target the fish in the SB (50/4/.8) and possibly the horribly loose player in the BB (84/13/1.2).

10NL hand...We raise from UTG to $.40, bully calls $.40, fish folds, and idiot BB calls $.40.

Pot is $1.25ish. Flop comes Kh8h5d.

We lead $1 and get raised by the bully to $3 (pot now $6ish). BB folds. We have roughly $9.50 left in our stack and are well covered.

What is our plan going forward? I figure bully is doing this with a range in which he is not scared of a K from us since that hits our UTG range pretty hard and if he has any brain cells, he should be giving us at least some credit for the K. However, our image should be pretty aggressive because we have been isolating the players to our right from pretty much everywhere when we have position on them, but bully may not realize our reasons for raising so frequently.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I just don't see it. I mean, maybe you're considering a semibluff shove, which is a straight-forward EV calculation, but otherwise I don't get what you're looking for here.

well, being that its a bully type player and we need to push equity in some spots, i just wanted to see if anyone advocated the push. i thought it was a fold, but i have been thinking i may not be playing some of my draws hard enough against these players. obv, if we have a stronger draw, it becomes an easier shove. no biggie.

JR9477 is an unknown quantity at this point
I think I could go for a shove in this spot. I'm assuming he's raising TP+/draws; calling a shove with his TPGK+/draws, and folding the rest. (If he's raising/folding middle pair or air, that's even better.)

Quote:
Folding-(51)-K6-7(22),K9(9),KT(9),KJ(11)
Calling(68)-88(3),55(3),KQ(12),K8(9),85s(9),67s(4),K5s(2)[AhQh,AhJh,Ah7h,Ah6h,Ah5h,Ah4h,Ah3h,Ah2h,,KhJh,Kh7h ,Kh6h,QhJh,Qh7h,Qh6h,Qh5h,Jh7h,Jh6h,7h5h,7h4h,6h5h ,6h4h,5h4h(20)]

Folding/Total
51/116 =43.9%

Fold&Win (43.9%)(6.25)+Called&Win(56.1%)(45.3%)(6.25+9.5) + Called and lose(56.1%)(54.7%)(-9.5)
2.743 + 4.002 - 2.915
+$3.83
