Hand 1 I would've folded on the turn when he shoved. Very hard I know. However, considering by now a 9, pocket 6, or pocket 5s can beat you, and from the looks of it, I'd guessed he had pocket 5s and was floating on the flop with them. Otherwise, he had pocket 6 or a 9 and was slow playing you. I really don't see him shoving the turn like that with anything less that what beats you; although, I could imagining him not respecting your bet on such a board and went ahead and did it with one pair. However in any case this situation is just too marginal.

Hand 2 you played it perfectly fine I thought I'd have done the exact same thing. Only thing that can beat you on the flop was pocket Qs and the chance of that (set beat by set) is next to nothing. They could've had QK, QA, Q4, 44, AA, KK, JJ, etc. I'm guessing you got beat by a straight at the end but the betting ended on the flop and you were definitely +EV at that point, and we need to be decision oriented rather than outcome oriented.

p.s. Session today my AA just got beat by KK and I lost more than a buy-in. Sucks yea but the decision was definitely correct and +EV, and that's all that matters.

Please post any comments/suggestions.

Hand 1: raise more pf, fold turn pending reads
Hand 2: open fold flop

EDIT: whoops thought UTG limped and it was 10NL, your raise is fine

Hand #1: Check raise at this level almost always means you're beat with TPTK. On ocassion, a pocket overpair might be good, but without any reads, I'd fold.

Hand #2: Looks fine. Flopping a set on that dry of a flop is a great place to get it all in.

Hand 1:
Sucks that you don't have the A, but without reads I fold. Take a note when you see people monkey shove nut draws... that's useful information.

looking back on it hand 1 is closer than I first thought, didn't see that he opened UTG, albeit for a minraise.

2nd hand, you were def. whining/complaining and wanting to post a bad beat or cooler. I've been around the block buddy, this aint my first rodeo, etc....
