All comments appreciated. Starting to play cash from S/G's. This guy berated me for my horrible play. I thought he played it bad. Or did it just play out?

It's not how many pots you win, it's what's in them that counts.

for starters your opening bet size should be anywhere from 3x to 4x the BB ($0.75 to $1.00)

Yes....I didn't like the opening bet....horrible. My biggest question is my flop bet. With 2 spades on board should I have bet .75 or 1.00. I think he calls anyway considering...

yes, generally you'll want to bet anywhere from 3/4 to full pot. However I can't say for certain whether this is even a flop you want to cbet..
(cue posters with better insight in regards to this)

I figured with top pair decent kicker and gut shot it was worth a bet. But I'm new to the cash games and could be way off.....lol

you crazy. easy flop bet and we're betting for value. When raised, we're ip, its cheap, and have a good amount of suckout equity so easy call.
turn bet is dumb. we just got c/r'd, either bet more cuz its for value or dont bet at all cuz we're behind and hate being raised again. i lean towards checking back and callin non spade rivers

What is ip?
Yes the flop bet is for value I agree. What do you take from opps min raise though. I took that as a sign of weakness and bet the turn. Bad line?

ip = in position
the check minraise is a variety of things. it could be "i think your bluffing so i minraise you" cuz you only bet like half pot, it could be "i have J2 and want to see wher eim at" it could be "lol i have nuts i must slow play and minraise you so you dont leave" or a number of other hands.
So in short, its probably like Jx, draws, really strong hands, and a lil bit of air. we do good against enough of that to continue but dont want to isolate his great hands by reraising.
as for the turn, you need more of a reason than "i sense weakness". if thats your read, then we can change their range to something like Jx, draws, and air or something, and then value bet. if thats the case, we need to bet larger so that his draws, air, and Jx arent correct to call, but still call anyway.
