whenever i've posted HHs on the net in the past i've always indentified myself as Hero, so that others won't be able to find me at the tables and exploit me from my posts in the forums.

am i being a bit paranoid? is it ok to post your actual player name or is it better to use Hero?

pros of using actual name is that you don't have to edit the HH to post it on the net

I use the converter here to make it easier for people to read, so calling myself Hero just happens.

Atm my games changing too fast for anyone to really pick things up anyway, to be honest it never even occured to me.
Just playing to improve.

I don't really see any disadvantages of using Hero, but there could potentially be some if you're using your real name (not that I think it matters a whole lot). So just go with Hero, it's not that much of a hassle after all.

i think its retarded for people to hide their identities, especially at lowers stakes, but the converter automatically changes you to Hero, so whatever.

again, chopper goes a bit against the grain...

why give any unneccesary info to FTR'rs? i know we all play at different stakes, and have a general respect for each other, and can also find out what the screen names are if we really want to, but still...

i also like the fact it hides the others, too. i dont neccesarily want to berate a villain, and have him read his own name. i know it would be extremely rare, but with the dwindling numbers of fish, at the moment, why risk it?
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

also, the hand converter doesn't work with towergaming for some reason. i'll start a new thread about this though

Personally I find the hands easier to follow when the players are identified by their positions rather than by their names.
