What would be my best option for ghosting. If I wanted to watch someone play or have someone watch me, would PCanywhere be my best choice. What about remote desktop?? I hear gotomyPC is free for 30 days but what about after that. I plan to use vent as well, but telling the other person your hole cards is tedious and a pain in the ass for a 30 min session, nevermind an hour or so. Anybody have any experiences with this. I have the option of just Video taping the session but having the student do all the talking just isn't what I am looking for.

I actually think that verbally expresisng your hands would definatley be beneficial. Also, after you say your hand, you should give a breif explanation on why you are doing what. An hour of this, with someone watching, would definatley be good for you since your would be expressing what you are doing out loud and noticing any patterns you might miss in your head.

Yea, I will be doing that, The guys I will be doing this with will be in vent. It will let us carry on much more detailed conversations while playing 4 tables. Aim or MSN is ok but not during one of these sessions.

If you're gonna be using VNC over the net - recommend finding tightvnc.. Historically better encryption than RealVNC - and I've heard it's better for detecting screen updates (which has always been the low point of VNC)

I have been mullingabout ghosting via over the comp instead of live for a bit and if i was to do it then i would use Skype its same thing as vent but you dont need any buttons to talk its freehanded talk, so it gives you a bit of less stuff to worry about while ghosting.

Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.

so tightVNC turns out to be laggy and doesn't show layered windows, so Hud was invisible. We just tried a couple settings and really could not find a decent set up. So far Beamyourscreen has been the best but at $30++ a month for just HU I don't think so. I just want to bump this in case anyone has any ideas.

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
it doesnt work unless you can see their hole cards and all the software sucks.
Other than that follow one table they are on and get them to post all hands in vent etc.
