Good evening FTR

I haven't been around for almost a while due to school etc, and have only been playing recreationally but want to actually get serious about poker this summer. I have some decent time on my hands beside a full time job, but don't need to study or anything in the evenings. I started May with a $75 bankroll, so am playing 2nl for now. I have read lots about poker in previously, but nothing recently. I noticed i need to brush up on my skills after having played ~1k hands in cash games and realizing i am frequently unsure what the right action for a situation is. For example, after having gone through hand histories i notice a decent amount of my losses happen on bluffs where i have a wrong read or tell myself 'he probably doesn't have the hand'.

I'm not sure where to start, which is why i've come here. I am playing 6max, and am 28/21 over 1k hands which I think is decent, but I don't feel like a solid player.

Here's the graph since May 6th.

So FTR if you have any advice on how to start the summer off right, it would be greatly appreciated!

1k hands is a tiny sample. Get at least 5k in then post positional stats.

K i'll bump with a new graph in a couple of days. In the mean time I'm just going to keep doing what i'm doing at 2nl, and see how it goes, and try not to make any stupid calls or stupid bluffs.

A call or bluff is only stupid if you don't know why you're doing it.

Or if why you're doing it doesn't make sense

Wrong read, in which case i suppose it wouldn't be stupid because there was reasoning behind it such as seeing the guy make the same play a couple of times on previous hands, leading me to believe he was either always flopping a hand or frequently putting money in with air

But watching the hand out of context makes my plays gone wrong look silly.

Waiting on 5k hand bump, currently at 2k

so instead of thinking about not making any stupid calls or bluffs think about it like not making any stupid reads :P, trust your reads.
