It might sound like a stupid question but I am still puzzling over this one.

I am a reasonably good SNG and MTT player but would like to switch to ring games. I am at the $25NL limit just because the donks at $10NL just piss me off.

However, I am still contemplating if I should play full ring or 6-max? I only have PT for a while and after 1k hands at full ring my basic stats are 23/7. I am still struggling with the slow pace (and my old laptop doesn't really allow multi-tabling at this stage) of full ring. Also someone told me once that as a beginner at ring games I should stick to full ring.

What is your opinion?

I like full ring because it taught me how to see different hands forming. You see a lot of different hands played out and you get an idea of how people play them. You will be more likely to come across some pretty heavy duty hands.

6 max you can stray away from your cards a little more and loosen up. Mind you I've only started dabbling in 5 or 6 max recently but I kinda like it. Though I still feel safer in the full ring.

A question you should probably ask yourself is when you play SnG's do you like it more at the start or midway through the tournament?

I think 6max takes a little more time to adjust to.

Try searching this and the beginner's forum. There's at least 50 threads with the same theme.
