I'm on PS right now playing a little bit waiting for the freeroll to start. Just wondering if anyone wants to get a FTR game going at 5NL or 10NL??

kfaess on stars. I don't have a FTR table right now, just trying to generate interest in this thread and when we have at least 4 then we can find a table. 5NL is fine with me, I meant it to be a game for micro grinders (I'm only rolled for 10NL anyways).

I'm in
if we could get a 6 max table going that would be good since it's unlikely that we'd get 9 participants.

cool, yea 6-max sounds good to me. We have 3 people right now, so maybe 1 or 2 more then we find a table??

How was/is it? We need a complete report. This would be something fun to do occassionally.

Deep stacks, big pots, pretty aggro. Definately a change from the nut-camping full ring tables!

I ran really good. Then I ran really bad. Then I played really bad. Then I gave money back to the table. Then I decided to run good in the freeroll instead of the FTR table. So I left.
Micro is a nit! Kfaess got pwned the first hand by me. Carroters thinks I'm the spewiest individual ever. Sil is wtfhorrible at poker. Muzz stopped by and wtfluckboxed my set. Ez game

Stacks I have a question:
Can it ever be +EV to shove into your range here? You're pretty balanced, but like, weighted more towards draws. Pair+draw and I'm fucked though.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
CO ($12)
Button ($9.81)
SB ($15.86)
BB ($11.39)
UTG ($28.98)
Hero (MP) ($10)
Preflop: Hero is MP with 5 , 5
UTG bets $0.15, Hero raises to $0.65, 4 folds, UTG calls $0.50
Flop: ($1.37) J , K , 8 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.90, UTG raises to $2.95, Hero folds
FWIW I have a couple reasons why I chose to 3-bet here
Total pot: $3.17 | Rake: $0.15

That was defo fun. I was spewing about there pretty randomly, I almost bustoed my stars roll of 1.5 BIs.
I just remember constatnly flatting raises from the button for some reason.
I got pwned pretty hard in the final hand trying to value bet 3rd pair vs Stacks' 2nd pair on the river. Not something I'd usually attempt, but ZOMFG!! that guy is a spewing machine!

My range at this table at this time yeah most likely lol. However, it would only be due to fold equity but I don't fold less than a Jack or a draw.
But in real play, I'm not a big fan of either preflop or flop by you tbh. Calling 3bet OOP suck balls in almost any situation. Calling it with small pairs is worse as you flop good like very very rarely. And as far as check/raising this flop, if we were playing seriously I would rarely be weak when I bet this flop. Mainly because I would rarely be 3betting an UTG open light. Id def be checking back TT, QQ. AK would be like the only hand I bet here that your checkraise would put me in a shitty spot with. But I likely call because you likely don't check/shove sets or aces.
Also, add to the above the fact that when you are called you have little to no equity. Better to pick a range that has at least some equity like backdoor draws, overcards, etc.

Stacks are you referring to me being OOP because I was IP and I was the 3-bettor. I have myself as hero here
And yeah I suppose I have 0 fold equity here because you're calling with any pair/draw and you wouldn't be c/r'ing often with complete air in a 3-bet pot on that flop.

lol no worries. I know what you mean about calling small pairs oop to 3-bets though. In fact, this used to be a big leak of mine but I've fixed it thanks to FTR.
Against someone who is playing LAG how do you like 3-betting here pre? And is this really the best flop for me to be c-betting?

If us microstakes grinders spent more time in the IRC it would be really easy to have these games all the time. So...
Get in the IRC, imo. There are free poker lessons there by really good players and also the potential for regular FTR FR games, among other things. Like "lets talk about trannies" hour.
Edit: In fact, WHY DO WE NOT HAVE A TIME THAT WE REGULARLY MEET TO PLAY/TALK MICROSTAKES POKER!?!?!??!?!?!?! I mean, saying "Sunday at 8 EST" and someone starts the thread and whoever's on plays is really not that hard.

Me: 40/31/4.5 13.5 3-bet and -$16.23
Stacks: 59/35/1.7 6.3 3-bet and -$7.01 <---- table donk
M2M: 22/13/5.5 4.8 3-bet and -$1.11 <---- table nit
Carroters: 33/18/3.2 9.2 3-bet and -$5.13
Muzz: 27/11/0.6 5.0 3-bet and +$28.05 (flopped nut flush vs stacks QQQ)
Sil: 46/22/0.8 13.3 3-bet and -$25.36
Looking back I wish I didn't call the first hand all in by stacks with 68s. Carroters made a very good call on a 3-barrel bluff by me. I found it hard to play so loose because I'm not that good at hand reading. All in all pretty fun and spewy table.
