I gotta tell ya, I don't see a lot of replies or ratings on these free vids that FTR is providing for the benifit of the beginners. As an example, In my comment thread to my table selection vid only one person has replied. (Sarbox) He has been very enthusiastic. I get that some others have replied to spendas series as well but really, we aren't doing these for us. I'm sure most of us can find more profitable ways to spend our time. I'm not ripping or saying nobody cares, but come on, all we are tryng to get is some feedback so we can provide what you guys want. i gotta tell you, if when any of us started at FTR 2 or 3 years ago and had upper stakes players willing to record their sessions at the lower stakes, I would have hounded them for every video I could get my hands on. These are invaluable tools at your disposal. Speak up.

I haven't watched these yet. Will do this weekend - I'd sorta heard them mentioned in threads etc. but never bothered to investigate. Now that I do, it sounds priceless. Thanks!

I have found these videos invaluable to my ring game personally. I was a decent tourney player, then hit a brick wall, and decided to move to ring. I sucked, then watched the videos. (Back when there were like four.) I was able to turn a profit after a while even. Now I watch them whenever I am in a hard downswing. I review when I watch, unless I am pressed for time.
Please, don't quit making videos due to lack of review. I just think we need to refer them to more people, and get them mentioned more.

you guys are doing a great job and all beginners should watch these vids, especially since they are free. FWIW, i did have a hard time finding the page with the vids.

I haven't seen all of them (I'm still at the point where I feel like I'm drowning in all the information here), but the videos I have seen have been great.
It really helps to hear the thinking process of someone of someone more experienced than myself.

The recent re-vamp of the Poker Videos section was a big change and, essentially, it's a new section for most of the regulars here. These things take time, Jyms. Believe me, your videos are getting watched and will be further viewed and commented on by new visitors. We just need to keep encouraging the "lurking" viewers to rate them. And keep reminding our regulars that we have poker videos. The word is spreading.
Here's a good sign that it's only a matter of time before new visitors will discover and (hopefully) rate the videos:
http://www.google.com/search?q=poker+videos
We're on top of the first page for a Google search of "poker videos."

umm...I promise to watch them?
Honestly I'm pretty sure a lot of people watch them, they just don't rate or comment them. I am moving to ring games, so I will definately be checking them out when I have time (I'm only getting time to play about once a week, if even that ).

Same goes for me. I appreciate the time you guys are putting into the videos, I've just been too busy to even play poker. I will definitely watch them, I just don't know when.

I hope this topic is a wake up call to me. I need to improve my game and I'm not going to do it my making the same mistakes. I need to start watching these videos. I had purchased some of dubious value. Time to see what you have.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Well, I guess I'm (a) playing limit and most of the videos are NL, (b) a bit intimidated by the stakes and presumed different required strategies (I'm playing .02/.04 so as micro as it gets!), and (c) a bit overwhelmed by the pace of the videos. My brain can't multitable yet much less follow someone else's description of their thought process while multitabling! I need SuperSloMo replay of single table action!!

If I had a mic I'd do a $25 or $50nl 6max session or two.

Actually you could learn how to multitable from watching the videos as well. It's not all about poker strategy, somehow we learned how to multitable too. There are plenty of tricks to do it that are now just standard for us, I'm sure you could pick up on them by watching.

I can positively say that people are watching the FTR Poker Videos. I see the bandwidth being used by viewing the videos, and they are consuming about 400 Gig's of bandwidth a month. In fact, I'll probably have to upgrade our hosting contract next month because of the bandwidth requirements of these videos!

its a new thing. its just like starting a business. the first one thousand efforts feel wasted, as you are trying to get word out. but, they are being watched.
maybe one out of a hundred people, if that, will take the time to respond.
just give it time. xianti, et al, i'm sure sees the responses are coming in.
however, maybe they could benefit from a better location, bigger banner/font, or directions to during promotion (which i think you do actually). they are kind of hidden in that section on the left. not easy to see. how bout a sticky in the beginner's forum giving directions entitled: "where are all the free vids?"
i, myself, had to ask for directions.

Let me acknowledge right now: it's terrific that you guys are supplying this for free, and doing it for free! These are great resources that I may not be ready for yet. For example, I need to improve my single-table play before trying multi...but I'm glad to know the resource is there once I'm ready to try multi.
There are other resources out there but mostly "pay to play" so these give terrific value, and none of the b.s. about "you get what you pay for" either. You're doing good stuff for free. Thanks!

There is already a sticky in this Beginners Circle titled "FTR's Poker Videos."
Unfortunately, sticky topics are apparently ignored or unseen by a lot of people. Did you miss it as well?

Thank you,Thank you ,Thank you. I love the videos and always mean to respond but never do. I always thought it would be cool if you guys made a video with some of us beginners playing at the same table. That way we could see what we did wrong and tell us what kind of fish we are on video! I would sign up for that for sure

The list of poker videos is now sortable!
To sort the list of videos by a different column, click on the title of the corresponding column. For example, to sort the list by Date Added, click on the title Date Added in the top row.
This will list the videos ordered from newest to oldest, like this:
http://www.flopturnriver.com/poker-v...ideos-Date.php
Click Date Added again and the order will be inverted (oldest to newest).
PLEASE RATE THESE VIDEOS!
