Note: Almost nobody goes to the FTR Chat Room above because people go to our IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channel instead. Follow these instructions to get there: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...el-t67665.html

The following is the old browser-based FTR Chat Room FAQ:[

It seems I get the same four questions over and over about the FTR Chat Room, so I figured I would post them here. I'll edit for any other common questions that come up.

Why should I join chat?

When I first joined FTR a couple of years ago, I quickly came to realize that I was much more comfortable talking to others about poker in real time than when using the forum. I imagine that I'm not the only one who feels this way, and the FTR Chat Room gives you an opportunity to talk to other poker players and work on your game.

How do I discuss hands without spamming the window?

The website www.pokerhand.org provides a great service for posting hands and gives you a simple url to link to so that you can show others your hands. You get a url that looks like this http://www.pokerhand.org/?1825900 (my 99 v 77 on 977 from yesterday) which everyone can click on to view your hand.

Who are the chat room moderators?

Any moderator for the forum is also a moderator in chat, but Renton and euphoricism tend to be in chat the most often. Renton is the moderator for the Full Ring NL Holdem forum and euphoricism is the moderator for the Limit Holdem forum.

How do I ignore someone who annoys me?

On this page there are a list of commands for use in the chat room. If you use the ignore command, then you won't see anything else someone chats until you unignore them.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Hi All... Just Passing By To Give My 2 cents On The FTR Chat Service... Why Use It? Simple, You Can Ask Anything You Want For FREE! And Get A Answer Pretty Much Instantley, The Forum Is Still Great, If You Want To Post A Poll Or Hold A Debate On Something, However , If You Want A Faster More Personal Feel To Your Debate I Realy Recomend It... Now I Have Found FTR Chat Room Ill Probably Be There A Lot, I Cant Say Ill Be Of Much Help Regarding Questions As Im A Total And Utter ''NOOB'', But Ill Be Glad To Keep You Company Or Just Chat About Whatever, I Live In Spain, I Have Seen People In There From All Over, So Regardless Of Your Time Zone Im Sure Youll Find Someone And Something To Talk About... Have Fun All And Happy Hunting
