Trap bet. I do it all the time. so many people especially at 10NL thing it's awesome to re-raise a weak bet 3 times with nothing in hopes to steal pot. I do it all the time if I have the nuts or close to it.

That's funny since at my stakes a weak donk bet on the flop tends to be some dumbass trying to pick up a pot. Then again, I don't normally push back for multiple streets without a hand either.
But either way it's irrelevant to this particular hand, no matter what the bet means. Hero must raise here so that if villain has the A that he doesn't get odds to draw out.
I raise to 1.2-1.5 or so.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

most likely a flush draw w/ a weak lead here. dont let him draw out. and dont get greedy.
just slam the pot about 5X his raise right away, and hope he thinks YOU are bluffing.

P.S. I'm not serious.

Raise. I wouldn't even consider a fold unless another heart, other than the 9, hits the table.

Raise 4-5x his bet, hit your 9h on the turn and proceed to take the rest of his money.

Thanks guys for all the help. This is how it played out. I came over the top, he called and had AhKh. The turn and river didn't help me at all. I should have re-raised 5x to see if he had the Ah and then fold if he 3 bets me. Thanks again.

No.
There's lots of worse flushes which will stack off here, not to mention begrudging sets and maybe 2pr. Get it in. If you lose it's a cold deck.

Is your goal to win money, or not lose a stack? These two are sometimes mutually exclusive. This is one of those times.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?

You're pretty much hosed here then if he has AhKh. Most of the time if you come over the top they will just call your raise not to scare you off. You can only pray that another heart or pair comes before you lose your whole stack and you can fold respectably.

if he has a better hand and you dont lose a stack then you didnt hit the raise button hard enough.
If a 4 th heart falls then cry, otherwise pick a line that gets all the cash in the middle quickly.
Edit: just read results. Results in this hand are irrelevant. With some hands you SHOULD lose a stack when your opponent has a better hand because you are then maximising your ev when your opponent has a hand you arent folding on this flop.
For example i dont fold a straight or set on this board for stacks on this board, so you can imagine im not folding a jack high flush either
