hi everyone,

i have been looking through this site for the past few days and am new to hold'em. i look forward to meeting everyone and have a few questions to ask.

1) I was looking at the reviews on poker books and thought i should start with Low-limit hold'em by lee jones and then should i read Hold'em for the Advanced Player by Sklansky or Small Stakes Hold'Em? Any suggestions?

2) I signed up on Poker Stars and feel that the best way to start is doing the micro-limits. what do you think?

3) I read a lot on how Poker Tracker help and think it would greatly help me improve. It says if you purchase it for $55 you get 2 codes. let's say that you reformatted twice and used the code. what would happen?

4)NetTeller would be good for transferring money since im not in a rush to get immediate transfer. My bankroll is not really at any limit but i would say $50 to start with and build my BR. That would suit more than 300x BB on $0.02/$0.04 on PS correct?

I just get so excited thinking about poker i wet myself and if anyone is interested in dead money let me know thanks in advanced. I just find the game very interesting and fun and feel that i should start on the right foot and not build any bad habits.

1) SSH

2) best bankroll builder is low stakes nolimit hold'em. don't bluff, don't slowplay set unless its mid/top set with no flush/straightdraw on board, overbet the pot with your good hands.

3) Pokertracker is good but often 55$ is too big of an invetment if you have less than 200$.

everytime you format, you will use 1 code, so after first use and a format, you have to purchase 2 new codes on your next format

You don't need to buy a new license for PT if you've used up 2 codes. You just contact PT support and explain the situation, and they'll send u a new code.

Neteller is usually pretty quick. I think it's usually the poker sites who are slow when u cash out.

SSH= SMALL STAKES HOLDEM by ED MILLER

I would recommend reading another book first though, like WInning low limit holdem by lee jones, then reading SSH. Most new player that read SSH first misapply the concepts and lose money because they do not understand the game yet.
