My best hand last night for 3 SnG's was AQs under the gun. I bet 3BB, one guy calls, and the BB goes all-in.... I think. I fold. Never go broke with AQs. Yeah, but in a SnG game that hand does not come along very often. The BB was an agressive player but that was the first and only time he ever went all-in pre-flop. Even if he was playing a small to medium pair I would only have about 50% chance of winning and if he had AA, KK, or AK I was dominated. His unusually large bet, which was different from all of his previous actions, made me fold. From there my chips dwindled until my last mediocre attempt to double up with far lesser cards and I was out.

So, would you fold this AQ's to an all-in bet around level 3 of an SnG $10 at PP? I know it would have been my best bet that night but in the long run is this true?

Round 3 of an SnG is fairly early to go all-in with AQ. I would only do it if I am only risking <20% of my stack.

What Krapp said. Plus, you sound like you had a pretty good read on the player so it sounds like you made the right decision.

good call (not to call).

if the player seemed decent, it could have been a "going all-in preflop 3rd level is kind of lame and makes it look like i don't really want a call, but if i do this with AA or KK, maybe someone will think i don't really want to be called, and call me" play.

i hope that made sense.
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...

I'll agree with krapp as well. If it won't cost you too much of your stack, call. In the early stages of this SnG I'm guessing that it will cost you most or all of your stack. Good laydown.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.
