I don't mind your call preflop, but don't make a habit of it.
I'd probably call. He has A9 at these stakes a lot of the time

I agree, I put him on top pair or overpair, and call. I probably reraise on the flop though, possibly even push. I prefer to play 2 pair fast, especially the bottom 2.
Against that heinous background, my crimes were pale and meaningless. I was a relatively respectable citizen - a multiple felon, perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

With bottom 2 at these stakes, I'd just push the flop.

Yeah, don't cold call the flop. You need to raise hard, probably push. This gives you multiple ways to win the hand. Also, you're really hoping for folds here. You likely have the best hand but it can easily be beaten on turn + riv so you want to get as much in now as possible. If you run into a set then tough shit.

in a ring situation, bottom two on the flop are only marginally better than tp tk or overpair--they are NOT hands to trap w/ unless the flop conditions are IDEAL &/or the opponent(s) are extremely weak.

i don't mind cold-calling the re-raise in this situation b/c you're fairly certain you're up against tptk or overpair & can milk extra value on the turn, but on a different board, like 439 w/ two color, you should re-raise the re-raise to get open-endeds & flush draws the hell out. if somebody flopped a set youre going to pay them off anyhow, & if somebody does have tptk or op, they'll love you for re-raising & move right in.
i bet 2 dolla on my flush draw

I'd play it this way as well. Bottom two pair probably causes more players to go broke than any other hand, as you must be aware of overcards.

You need to push on the flop - hard - and must be satisfied with picking the pot up there and then. TP will probably call you, especially with and overcard. Rememebr that this overcard can beat you if it hits or a running pair will counterfeit your two pairs. Trips will also spell doom.

And I wouldn't recommend playing 42s very often!!
