Villain is playing pretty solid. He is 23/4 over 79 hands. He likes raising continuation bets on the flop.

Hero bets $1.5, UTG+1 raises to $5.5, CO folds, Hero calls $4.

What do I do? Should I lead out? Should I check-raise? Maybe check-rasie all in?

You said he likes to raise continuation bets, so in this spot id be betting about 1/2 the pot. The 6 isn't likely to have helped you, so if the guy was confident with his hand before he will still be confident. If he raises, push over, if he calls, id be betting the pot on the river. If he folds, he folds.

I checked and he bet 9. I then pushed my stack at him and he folded. Maybe by betting I could have taken his entire stack. Its definantly something to think about next time.

I'd reraise him to about $12 on the flop and see if he wanted to get the rest in. That might be my tournament instincts kicking in ... I don't want him to see a turn at all unless he wants to get it all in.

My guess is that villain had a mediocre pair or maybe even air in this spot. He bet only when you showed weakness (checking turn) and then when you slapped 'im with check-raise, he knew he had to fold.
Basically, by the turn, villain had control of the hand. He had raised massively on the flop, and you made what prob. appeared to be a crying call (which is the idea in trapping the sucker). On the turn, villain continued to try n represent a nice hand- bettin 9 after you checked. I think if you bet weak like $4-5 he would have been tempted to raise to like 12+ in order to buy the pot.
