I was wondering how you find the fish tables at Partypoker? DO you check the number of hands played etc... I am fairly new and was just wondering. Tables in the 25 to 50NL range. I do take decent notes but I was not sure if there was another way on top of that? Thanks for any help...

Pretty much. But there are a lot of other table textures that get me to take a hike.

good table is usually mostly full stacks with an average of at least 4 seeing the flop and no pfr's going uncalled.

I prefer the higher average pot sizes because players here tend to over value their hands.

I use a lot of different software. But the main one is PokerTableScan which takes your pokertracker database and runs the names of the people at all the tables and gives you table averages. I choose the loosest table in VPIP that I have the most data on the players. PokeraceHud has a similar feature but that can only find you the VPIP of 12 tables at once instead of every table at the limit.
Picking tables with a couple x-loose fish improves your winrate dramatically.

I look for tables with
1. A large average pot
3. High % players per flop
4. A table full of average stacks (eg. 175 dollars on a nl 200 table) because i am convinced that only poor players sit short. That being said i wouldnt sit on a table of shortstacks for obvious reasons.
I wouldnt sit a table of shortstacks, regulars, or immediately out of position to 1 regular or deepstack.

this is one area i actually like pokerroom network over party.. you can color code your fish and scan through them pretty quickly by clicking on the tables, viewable in the lobby..
i was very sad today when i saw one of my "fish" sitting all alone at a full ring table, i already had my max tables open.. i just watched his stack go down HU vs some random person.. sigh..
it also helps to avoid the good regulars, as i have them marked too, along with the passives and weak tights.. the color coding system is great.. i just wish i knew how to transfer all the info/merge it from my 4 or 5 different skins and 3 different computers...

Short stacks play terrible and never put us to a difficult decision. When they do get lucky, they're now a medium stack that plays terrible.
I don't get why you're passing this up.

Id agree with this.
you only need AA onc versus these guys to often take a stack, and the shortys do it repetedly.

Well...if it's all shorties your lower PPs lose implied odds. Plus you are more likely to call larger bets than normal with marginal holdings because less money behind. I usually leave a table if there are over 50% short stacks unless I know some players and I have a good position.
I usually filter by pot size on party and will leave if too many good players or like Gabe says not many people seeing flop. If that's the case, they probably just knocked the fish off the table to free up your seat.
