I started my meager online poker "career" about ... Wait I really cant remember. I guess 6 months ago with a $40 deposit at Pacific and I have finally made it to $1000. What a great feeling to have accomplish my first major goal although it took awhile longer than some of you would take. Thanks to all of you guys for taking your time to answer questions and review hands!!! You guys have no idea about how much you help out the begginers here!!!

Nah, every grand past the 3rd is less fun than the first two. It's really a down-hill slide into riches with poker.

This thread has made me decide once and for all to do my sums too. Fingers crossed I'm not short of the threshhold...
Argh! That's frustrating. Adding together the profits (currency converted where necessary) at William Hill, Pokerroom, Empire and Pacific (well, Pacific is more of a loss, technically, but I've reluctantly included it), my current total winnings amount to £915.13. Grr.
Of course, if I translate it into US dollars, then I've made $1,618.32. So I'll do that then

BMX, you must have got to the 100th by now, no? By all accounts you're one of the elite on FTR.

that first 1000 does give you a sense of accomplishment, but it's just another number really.
wait until your first big MTT win, you'll just be like wow...

I remember when I somewhat reached my first $1000 before my horrific downswing in July. Now I'm trying to build back to $1000 again.Truth is the grind never really does stop.Congrats though.

LCP I gotta ask:
What was your primary tables that you played? Limit ring/NL Ring/SNG's...MTT's? Amounts did you start out and play?
Thanks and Congrats.
