well today was my first day of playing for real money online. i have been playing with play money for quite awhile now. i deposited $40 into Absolute Poker, headed into a .50NL game with the minimum of $20 and 3 hours later i ended the night with a total of $100. i play a little bit tight/aggressive, and i won probably 4 out of 5 showdowns. i was just wondering if i should maybe move up to $1NL or possibly start on .50/$1 or $1/$2 games.

I don't like to toot my own horn, but it's a pretty good read.

I think you should stay RIGHT where you are or maybe move down. Someday, somewhere, your aces are going to get craked by 10 4 off...and if you don't have the bankroll for it, it's gonna hurt...

Move down. Those stakes are too high for such a small bankroll.
One small bad stretch and it'll be gone.
With 100 bucks I wouldn't play higher than the .1/.25 at Absolute.

Play for 100 hours at the same or lower stakes before thinking of doing anything. 100 hours.
On second thought, try 100 hours or you could vary it to about 100 hours.
Don't follow the typical pattern for newbies. Early success on cheap tables and they immediately start bouncing up, down, around, like a kid at a carnival who has a fist full of tickets and can't decide what to ride first. Then they lose half and start decending the ladder quickly trying to get back up so they can rush back to the tables that beat them. After 10-20 hours MAX they're broke. They've learned nothing. They have no idea whether they're good or they suck, because you can't guage anything in 20 hours of play.
I just realized something, so let me revise my previous advice from 100 hours to one hundred hours at the same stakes (whatever stakes your bankroll will support - which is super-micro).

Besides all of the bank roll questions, if you incresed to 100 dollars in one night why would you move up?
